Tree Woid Shtori.
We learned from EuroSoviets that Ireland attacked The Province, home of the former Vice President of the ADN. However, The Province is free once more.
UN voting: Public Domain - His Majesty has voted No on this proposal, as most nations in England were of the mind that the proposal was poorly written and not well thought out. We believe that instead of helping free trade prosper, it will hinder any attempts at such because it strips ownership while adding no benefit to the author and therefore denies motivation to participate in a public domain.

I have no idea where Kukiello is... probably dead or inactive like the rest of England. Therefore, I'll give the report over the last couple of months.
England's new policy for updates is monthly if you're lucky, yearly perhaps, never most likely. Just joking, it's actually whenever I have the time, patience, and dedication to do it (which isn't that often).

... are you ready for this...
NOTHING... well exept the disappearance of everyone including His Majesty (HM) and Britains Empire from our forum.
oh, I've got something... Irish Americans has been arguing with Victories and Donthoran on our forum to the amusement of England. And somehow Land of Glory, Simooooo, Monkey WooWoo, and myself have managed to entertain ourselves on our now inactive forum.
UN voting: ... ha... who knows... HM never comes around the forums anymore.
That's about it, and if you say I'm being pessimistic... you don't even know the half of it.
bweezy - November 4, 2004 04:39 PM (GMT)
Wow. I can really sense the angst. Is there someone who might take over from HM so that the region can get re-energized?

Wow. I can really sense the angst.
Are you being sarcastic, or is it really that evident.
Well, HM is still around and liked on the main message board. The only problem is that no one wants to sign onto the forum and post there. The message boards gets a lot of use... though only about pointless stuff. No one seems to be interested in the rest of NS.
We do have one guy, but even if we changed delegates, I doubt it would matter, since we really don't have active members. Though, I feel that HM should at least have lead by example and not abandon our forum.
What's Canada been up to these past months?

UM Ambassador - December 4, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
England's Regional Report

Current Population: 192
Current Delegate: His Majesty
Events this week:
A new cabinet has been formed in England as follows:
Foreign Minister: Simooooo
Home Secretary: Land of Glory
Minister of Defence - Youngtung
Minister of Information - Resine
Minister of Immigration and Recruitment: Leetuania
I am the ambassador for England to Canada. Feel free to contact me or my main nation of United Morgan (that's where the "UM" in the name comes from) if you have any questions.
We had some problems with flaming earlier in the week but that seems to have passed along with a debate on fox hunting.
This is my first real "job" within NS so please bear with me during the learning process. This will be a good place to learn as I actually live in Canada in the RL.

England's Regional Update30th January 2005
Current Population: 164
Current Delegate: His Majesty
Events this month:
- England has suffered a drop in size recently which has taken us all by surprise. Considering we were once the 17th largest region in the world it's not good news. However, this past few days the population has surged slightly so things aren't looking so bad. We have Leetuania to thank for that due to his work as Minister of Immigration and Recruitment.
- England has officially ended its links with our former friend, The North Pacific, due to the actions of the delegate, Pixiedance, and other leading members.
- New ambassadors have been dispatched to Canada and Equilism after the resignation of the former diplomat.
- England welcome three new active members to the forum: P-17, Adamsgrad and skinny87. We hope you will stay in England for some time to come.
- England continues to play an active role in the Allied British Isles. The military staff for the alliance have been chosen and it is progressing well. The first publication of the ABI Times has hit the shelves. It covers events to do with the alliance, its members and also events from across the NS world.
- The England Stock Exchange has had some recent new entries. The last update was done on the 7th January and put Simooooo Beef Exports as the most expensive company at £22.07 per share.
- The Word Association game is still going strong with over 55 pages!
UN voting:Repeal "Legalize prostitution" - 0 for, 4 against, 1 abstaining

England's Regional Update20th February 2005
Current Population: 163
Current Delegate: His Majesty
Events this month:
- Our population has rebounded slightly despite falling earlier this month. There doesn't seem to be any particular reason for this but we're not complaining.
- Embassies have been opened at the United Socialist Kingdom and the City of London. We hope our relations will continue to improve as we strive for freedom throughout the British Isles.
- Ou new ambassador to Equilism has been dispatched. We wish Greccovia well in his duties.
- Adamsgrad and skinny87 have volunteered to assist the government by becoming Civil Servants.
- The Official Map of England has been updated to include some new nations. Thanks go to Resine for this.
- English nations took part in the defence of Hong Kong earlier this month in an outright success. Congratulations go to those nations who responded so quickly.
- In the English Stock Exchange Simoooo Beef Exports (SBE) have taken a huge hit after traces of BSE were found. This has been fiercely denied by the public company but the share price has continued to fall. The biggest rise was by the Greccovia RegionWide Express who, in their first week of trading, rose by a staggering £9.33. The most expensive shares are now in Blue Monkey Inc. (BLI) of MonkeyWooWoo which stands at an impressive £22.62 per share.
- Representatives from the underground movement of The North Pacific have arrived at the embassy. England has welcomed them and has offered support in the face of the undemocratic behaviour of the North Pacific Directorate.
- The Allied British Isles has continued to grow and now has 14 member regions.

England's Regional Update28th March 2005
Current Population: 193
Current Delegate: His Majesty
Events this month:
- The population has grown enormously this month, with a peak at over 200 nations. Thanks go to Leetuania, Minister for Immigration, and the various civil servants aiding him. The target is set to over 250 which is our previous best from last year.

- The Cabinet have been discussing our alliance with the ASE in regards to them joining the federation known as the Delian League.
- South Shields has been appointed ambassador to 10000 Islands and Rayers II was appointed ambassador to the United Kingdom and London. Simooooo has extended his ambassadorial role to include Dun Eideann, USK and City of London.
- In the English Stock Exchange, the higest climber this month was The Broab's 'Look Around You Films' (LAYF) due to their worldwide release of the highly anticipated, "The Passion of the Broab". LAYF's shares now stand at an impressive £27.96. The biggest drop this month was from Kratauria's'Krataurian Clean Energy Corporation' (KCEC) who suffered as large loss of £9.68 this month.
- England welcomes Glen Cragmorre, Greccovia and Hypocriscia to the boards.
- England is currently discussing an alliance with the USK, although nothing concrete has been agreed upon as yet.
- The ever-popular 'What comes next?' thread has continued to be inundated with spam, I mean, a truely entertaining story :P
- In the Allied British Isles, Ireland has left the alliance. However, activity is still strong and the Council are continuing to operate effectively.

I must say: there is something about the combination of "got elves?" and the "milk" moustache that horrifies me.
Leisine - May 1, 2005 07:16 AM (GMT)
Ahh, but you see there's a story behind that.
A long time ago, sometime around this time last year, there was a guy here in Canada named Maikainzilion that requested someone make him an image of Elrond with a milk moustache and a caption that read "got maik," a play on his name. I made him that image, but I thought it such a cute idea that I made one for myself except I couldn't think of a good caption. He suggested that I use "got elves." Not being able to think of a better caption, I decided to use it, and I've never bothered to change it. I think it's unique to say the least. I never thought into the image caption combination that deeply to see the disturbing quality that you just pointed out. I'm still not going to change it, but it worth knowing that there have probably been a couple of people out there that have thought I'm weird because of the picture, but have never cared to ask about it.
If you see my signature, you'll see another play on Maik's name.

- England has signed the London Accord, an alliance with the USK. This means we shall now be cooperating much more closely diplomatically and militarily in the future. We would like to thank the USK for their patience while we deliberated over the text of the alliance.
- We have also signed an England - TPC Alliance with The Proletariat Coalition in the name of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance.
- An embassy has been created at the Peoples' Republic of The Pacific, although there are no plans for any closer relationship than this.
- England has re-opened links with The North Pacific following the liberation of the region, in which England played a role.
- England organised a summer long interregional cricket competition with Australia and won the 20/20 match on June 13th.
- Military medals have been awarded so congratulations to the following recipients:

Earl of Yonkings
Simooooo
Glen Cragmorre
The MOD Service Medal - awarded for long service in the army
Youngtung
Land of Glory
Simooooo
The St George's Cross - awarded for outstanding service of over six months
Simooooo - OOC: the riddle thread in our entertainment section has become very popular and is taxing the minds of the English citizens to some degree. Also, a new 'find the picture' game has been made in which someone requests a picture to be posted and whoever does it first gets to ask for the next picture. Thanks go to Duckling for that one!

England's Regional Update22nd August 2005
Current Population: 185
Current Delegate: His Majesty
Events this month:
- A new Cabinet was elected on 10th July:
Delegate - His Majesty
Deputy - Earl of Yonkings
Foreign Secretary - Simooooo
Minister of Defence - Resine
Minister of Immigration and Entertainment - Leetuania
Cabinet Advisor - Allandaros
UN Ambassador - Safalra - The Cabinet is currently deciding upon election reform due to the low turnout in the July elections, however, voting is still ongoing at this point.
- Leetuania, the Minister of Immigration and Entertainment, has retired due to competing commitments in his life. England would like to thank Leet for his efforts in helping the region, especially his hugely successful welcoming package. His Majesty decided to give him an honourary Cabinet position to thank him for his hard work. Adamsgrad was appointed to take over the position of Minister of Immigration. We wish him luck in his duties.
- The ministeries of Immigration and Entertainment have been separated due to the high workload.
- The Foreign Secretary, Simooooo, was absent for most of July and August, hence the lack of updates, but normal diplomatic contact will resume from this point onwards.
- Diplomatic contact has been initiated with the United Federation of Planets after we were contacted by their founder. We hope to learn more about each others regions and perhaps forge closer links in the coming weeks.
- England, the USK and Ireland have founded the Coalition of Free States, a defensive alliance aimed at protecting our regions and also fostering closer links between our regions.
- England lends its sympathies to Moo-cows with guns of Equilism, who has recently suffered from an imposter nation being created with the same name minus the hyphen.
- The Foreign Office has sent one soldier to Northern Ireland in support of the new delegate, Eldin, who has recently come to power after the old delegate left the region, password intact, with no intention of letting anyone else enter.
- OOC: we have been discussing whether or not the UK should have tighter immigration laws. The voting was tied at five a piece. A new game called 'Twist my Wish' has been started by Allandaros whereby one poster states a wish and the next must grant that wish but twist the outcome. There's some pretty hilarious responses flying about so be sure to check it out.

I must start this update with and apology for the lack of contact during the past two months. I've been extremely busy with other issues, NS and non-NS related, and haven't been able to write any updates for far too long. For that I apologise. -Simooooo, Foreign Secretary
Events:- First and foremost, England has scene a dramatic increase in population to almost 300 nations at times! Thanks to this must go to the former recruitment minister, Adamsgrad, and his team of dedicated recruiters including Safalra, Earl of Yonkings, The North Falklands and Sea Dolphin Lovers. A dedicated Recruitment Centre, the brainchild of Safalra, has now been set up to encourage voluntary recruitment efforts.
- England's Map has continued to be improved and updated by Disposeablepuppetland, the official Cartographer of England. The map had fallen into disrepair but has been given a new lease of life through his artistic efforts.
- A new section of the forum, The Lives of Nations, has been set up to enable nations to engage in forms of role-play. This has proved popular in recent weeks with lively disputes over territorial claims in the map.
- In October, Cabinet elections took place (click the link for the results). There was a disappointing turn out but it didn't stop the Deputy Delegate position being hotly contested between Rayers II and Disposeablepuppetland.
- The Vallian Plains and England have exhanged embassies after being contact by Sanctaphrax, an ex-England nation of old. We hope that the relations between our two regions grow strong and mature with time.
- Great Britain and Ireland sent an ambassador to England and was gratefully received. However, England maintained its stance of refusing an official embassy on her forum.
- England are currently considering a treaty of alliance with The North Pacific although nothing has been finalised as of yet.

Youngtung Region & Forum- In late March the positions of Deputy Delegate and Minister of Defence & Intelligence became vacant. Congratulations go to our new Ministers Glerica and Youngtung; their constant diligence and dedication prove that they’re deserving of the new positions!
- After extensive debate with the Founders of the Regional Forum a
one week poll was held to decide whether future Delegates should be awarded admin powers for the duration of their tenure. A resounding 93% majority clearly showed the communities opinion on this.

Constitutional Reform and a New Era- Delegate Disposablepuppetland has been conscientiously drafting the
Members’ Rights in conjunction with the forum community in order to enshrine fundamental liberties. This successful codification seems to have sparked enthusiasm for further constitutional reform while others see extra documents as restrictive and overly complex.
- Glerica and Ithania have been working on codifying
The Electoral Procedure with a great deal of help from the community. Compromises have been made on several points of contention but there are still issues which need resolving over campaign regulations.
- A
debate on Cabinet accountability and Separation of the Powers is in progress with both new and old members offering their perspectives on issues or their perceived solutions to the situation.
Community and Entertainment- The region has been celebrating the return of longstanding and missed members of its community. Hirota, Britain’s Empire, and Broab are exceptional and intelligent individuals that left a huge impact on England’s history. With their return it is certain that life in England will get far better and our collective IQ will raise a few points!
- The
Glerican Games reached their eventful conclusion with carchery! There were allegations of fowl play with laxatives, springs, and implanted metal plates; claims of racist remarks against dolphin noses (until they got some fish and gold medals), and sexual insecurity but the games are considered a resounding success! Medal winning athletes were greeted with cheers while losers had their citizenship revoked.

The Glerican Herald has gone international! The newspaper is considered the best in England (
not just because it’s the only one) and aims to bring the world “impartial stories concerning the region”… and make a few billion fronds in the process.
- Regional spam output has massively increased with the “Have you ever…” thread taking kinky turns and the Word Association game gaining over 6000 posts. The community is looking forward to celebrating the 50,000 posts mark.
AwardsGlerica had his Merit Award upgraded to a
lovely Silver for his constant work in the region and unique ability to bring humour to every situation.
Disposablepuppetland accepted a
Bronze Merit Award for his service as Delegate and for creating the Merit Award in the first place. His resistance proved futile against begging, pleading, and puppy dog eyes.
His Majesty was awarded the
Order of Britain in recognition of his devotion to the region of England as Delegate from November 2003 to August 2006, as well as his numerous other contributions.
Leetuania was awarded the
Order of England for consistent efforts to keep a positive atmosphere, his counselling as an agony-uncle, his knowledge of naked BBQs, service in the Ministries and indispensable advice on red wine.
Lazarus Service Star

England gladly came to the aid of the rightful Delegate of Lazarus in late April as part of an international operation. To mark the energy military service brought to the region MoDI Youngtung has awarded the Lazarus Service Star to

Wow... This has to be the most off-topic strand ever...
It's interesting though how everything eventually boils down to Hitler... |
QUOTE (Atraxes @ UN Economics Prize)
The quest for tastier strudels is infinitely more noble than the field of economics!
QUOTE (Turpitude @ Kidnapped Royal Navy Personnel)
I have seen women who could crush onyx cufflinks in their jaws. Fabulous entertainment.

*talking to everyone else* You see, they actually found out that they were siblings separated at birth due to the fact that their father was an evil Sith lord. Of course their mother was a loyalist and was protected by the Jedi. BE, being the boy, was taken to the dust ball known as Canada where he farmed maple syrup out of the condensers. Ithy was adopted and whisked off to a beautiful area where she grew up with everything she could ever want...

In the words of Thatcher (although I’m not sure if she counts as a woman :D ), if you want something talking about then ask a man but if you want it doing then ask a woman. :D
Teehee, Glerica is one of our most productive members and a significant amount of that update is just about him or things he’s done. :D

Done.
I like the graphics for the DFA. Simple but very effective.
