Title: Mika's Comments
Description: Dracula...
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 18, 2004 03:25 PM (GMT)
Well, I haven't REALLY Posted on here before... only typed on my big sister's messages coz she let me before. But Mika said she was going to see Van Hellsing! My big sis says that it is one of her fav. films. She also says Dracula is fit. I, having never seen Van Hellsing, can't comfirm this. But, considering my bis sis, she would think Dracula's cute. After all, she is evil...
Mika Saigo - May 18, 2004 05:14 PM (GMT)
Dracula was REALLY cool. I would have liked him to be about 10 years younger... and a little cuter, but he was still really awesome. He did an excellent job. Walking on the ceiling, being evil... biting things... i loved it. very good. I also REALLY thought it was cool how they made the wolfman transform from human to wolf... most movies just have them morph (american werewolf in paris, or any older ones) but this one they actually tear off their skin to show the fur underneath o_o freaked me out the first time i saw it... but yeah, i really liked this movie... great stuff! :D

I agree I saw it the first day it was out, I was awesome!!! especially Dracula.
BTW: Mika did you notice how the main girl like fell through bulidings, hit trees and walls but when she was tackled by a warewolf(Van Hellsing) she died.Maybe she was bit but I saw nothing like that when he got up from her just wondering
Mika Saigo - May 19, 2004 01:04 AM (GMT)
yeah! I totally thought the same thing! I was all... "wait... just a little while ago she was flyin' through the air, running into buildings, falling onto a big stone bridge... and nothing. but one little were-tackle and she's gone..."
what i think though, is that... through the whole movie they imply that she wants to die. she has no family, they've all died before her. She always thinks of death happily since she'll get to meet with her family again. I think since her mission to help van helsing was complete, she felt she could pass on without regret, unlike the other times she was hurt and still had things to finish. er... that's my opinion at least. plus, they had to kill her off, Van Helsing has to remain a single male so all the women can lust after him... just like James Bond... or Legolas... or you get the idea...
~Mika
Mikayla - May 19, 2004 08:24 AM (GMT)
*laughs* Yall are thinking too much.
Clearly the purpose of Van Helsing revolves around, "Less talky, more fighty." *laughs* Anytime they were even CLOSE to a plot revelation, the characters were like, "Oh no! The audience is getting bored! FIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHT!!"
*laughs* Though don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the movie. I thought the effects and fight scenes were awesome, even if the HUMAN chick could get slammed through windows, and the full moons were only like, a day apart. What, time passed? When? *laughs* Wait, I'm thinking again! Dangit! *laughs*
Hehe. I think it's a great movie to see though. It was cool!
----
Mika Saigo - May 19, 2004 04:01 PM (GMT)
*gasp* :o That has to be one of the FIRST times someone has accused me of thinking TOO MUCH...
ah man... that were-brother of hers was hot too... wasn't he the same guy that played Faramir in Lord of the Rings?(Boromir's younger and cooler brother) cool at any rate.
I would assume with the whole Full Moon thing that VanHelsing and company were on the road for several weeks before Dracula's wenchies caught up to them. (giving him ample time to set up that killer party! I wanted to go! It was awesome! lol...) but the other thing that got me is they made a point of saying "Transylvanian horses are much faster than werewolves"... but were they really? NO! that bugged me... Those wenchy vampires made me laugh though...
Wenchy Vampire's thoughts: "oooh, I'm happy! we're going to kill the Valarias girl!" *Happy Hiss*
Wenchy Vampire's thoughts: oh no! Master is mad at us! *Sad hiss*
Wenchy Vampire's thoughts: ok, Master is happy again! *Seductive hiss*
I had no idea hisses could be so expressive... hee hee... so funny too.
OH! and i LOVED how the little vampy things POPPED! they would just POP!!! i was laughing my butt off! it's like a freakin' video game... wait... they DID make a video game... lol...

Lol heh good point Mika, either way it was a good movie on a scale of 1 to 10 i'd give it a....6 out of 10
bjuhn - May 19, 2004 10:00 PM (GMT)
kind got to think about jafar from alladin: on a scale from 1 to 10, you get... 11... mua ha ha (i know it's off topic, but i couldn't help it...)
Firedragongurl - May 19, 2004 10:12 PM (GMT)
haven't seen it.... *feels left out*
bjuhn - May 19, 2004 10:14 PM (GMT)
ohh, poor fire, here have some cheesenips... that's killer-cheesenips from hell...
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 20, 2004 07:52 AM (GMT)
Have a few things to say..
To Firedragungurl: I haven't seen Van Hellsing either. Don't feel left out!!! It's not nice being left out, I should know!!! It's bad! Don't!!!
To Mika Saigo: DUDE!!! What's with your picture!! It's like totally cool!!!! But what's with the gun...?
To everyone else: Jeez, just ONE little mention of Van Hellsing & Dracula, and your all going on about it!!! I'll have to ask my big sis 'bout the werewolf thing though. And I can tell her that she isn't the only one that likes Dracula. That will make her soooo happy. ^_^
Oh yeah, one mor thing to Firedragongurl: Love your picture too!!
Susan - May 20, 2004 05:12 PM (GMT)
Yes, I did come home and say that ^_^;;;. My actual words were "The ending was crap (Not to my little sister, give me some credit of sanity), but Dracula was FIT!" He just has style... and long hair ^_~ I love guys with long hair. Am I the only who thought Carl was funny? He was good, even though the "Light chemical" was OBVIOUS. I mean, HELLOOOOOOO, they're going after VAMPIRES who DIE in the SUNLIGHT!! Isn't it obvious? But why didn't Drac die then? *answers own question* Coz that woulda been the end of the film. Duh. But still...
On a similar note, did anyone else think the middle of the film - where they all go to Frankenstein's castle - was the end of the film? Coz I did, and then it carried on...
And yes, I forgot to tell her about the werewolves. But I remembered to tell everyone else about the undertaker! He was funny as well (why do all these films have huchbacks and mad skull-like gravediggers? And WHY was Igor carrying an electric cattle prod?).
The lady - Anna? - was cool. She threatens to cut bits off Igor (go on, guess which bits. I ain't gonna tell ya.), kills people, yells at the good guys, and yes, gets thrown around by vampires. All without a scratch...
*looks up* Woo, long and rambly. Leaving before someone yells at me. Like my sister. Or Mika.
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 20, 2004 05:51 PM (GMT)
Yes Susan, I WILL shout at you for your rant. Shout shout shout. There I've shouted. Happy now? :D
Anyways, on the T.V. adverts, they don't show ANY good shots of Dracula! Therefore, I can't tell if Dracy IS fit or not. Go fig. But, on other adverts, this guy - Carl I think - goes "Are you always this popular?" Then Van Hellsing just goes, totally unbothered, "Pretty much." I wonder wich part of the film it's from. I actually thought that Hellsing was Dracula! So I just thought, 'Oh yeah, Susan was right, Dracy IS fit.' THEN, as Susan only just told me, it wasn't Dracula!!! Van Hellsing was still mega cute though. :D
Mikayla - May 20, 2004 07:28 PM (GMT)
This whole post is loaded with spoilers. Just wanted to warn ya. *laughs*
*laughs* Dracula was awesome. Like Mika said (I think it was Mika...memory...bad...) I loved the whole walking on the ceiling thing. *laughs* He was very suave!
Susan: I totally thought that too! I was like, "Wow, is this the end of the movie?" And then they kept going and I was like, "Oh, okay, cool!" *laughs*
Dude, the Friar was awesome. I believe he was the dude that played Faramir (dont remember who said that...scrolling back, scrolling back...ack, my browser doesn't go that far...well, SOMEONE said it *laughs*), and he was so funny! I thought he was cool!
Oh, oh, oh, my favorite line in the whole movie is where the main chick (Susan, is it really Anna? I'll say Anna anyway, 'cause I don't remember *laughs*) was fighting that succubus chick and she goes, "If you're going to kill somebody, do it, don't just stand around there talking about it!" *laughs* Everyone was like, cheering..*laughs*
Oh, Mika, I know! With the "Transelvanian horses are faster than werewolves" thing...well...it's like, "Hmm...we forgot about the winged succubi vampire wives wench things...and shoot...is that a werewolf?!" *laughs*
Though so much...I just wish they would've elaborated on Gabriel and everything else...I mean, they TRIED...Dracula's all, "We have a long history together!" And then Van Helsing ruins it and he's like, "I guess that's a conversation from another time!" When the whole reason for Helsing to keep moving forward is to find out about his past...well, he might not care about it...but I do!! *laughs*
Though I do realize they did elaborate with the murders and such...and maybe my memory is faulty...but I just felt some things were left out. *laughs* Fightfightfightfightfightfight!
And I thought Frankenstein was pretty cool. In the scene where he starts fighting the succubus for Anna, and they look at each other, this guy sitting in the row behind us goes, "I love you!" Like it was Frankenstein talking...cracked lotsa people up. *laughs*
Oh yeah, heh..."I know what it's for now, I know what it's for!" BOOOOOOOOMMMMM!! *laughs* You go Friar! And wait Susan, Dracula can't die from that, for some weird unknown reason, it's werewolves that kill him! For some...reason...yeah. *laughs*
Oh oh, another favorite is when Dracula is asking Igor why he's prodding the werewolf and Igor's like, "It's what I do." *laughs*
Okay, I have to get ready for the day and I've just been babbling on here...*laughs* Laters!

bjuhn - May 20, 2004 09:29 PM (GMT)
ooohhhh, sounds like a must-see... *joins the fells-left-out club* but stil no money :(
Mika Saigo - May 20, 2004 09:44 PM (GMT)
heh yeah, I tend to talk a lot about action-packed movies, since they're my favorite kind. After I saw "Matrix:Revolution" I was in a state of blissful shock. all I could say for about 10 minutes afterward was "That was THE COOLEST movie EVER"...
so yeah... Van Helsing... the effects were GREAT, i totally loved how smoothly Dracula walked on the ceiling. good stuff.
the friar was really funny. Everytime he did something bad, like swear, sleep around, etc... he just looks all innocent and says, "Well, I'm not a priest YET..." lol... very nice.
The whole "Gabriel" thing... I'm guessing this is scriptural reference... Since in Genesis I think... Gabriel is on "the right hand of God", in other words, he's favored by God. Dracula (or Vlad Dracule' aka "Vlad the Impaler") would then be on the left hand, or in other words, he's fallen out of favor with God(wouldn't have anything to do with his deals with the devil would it? O_o;;; ). I thought it was weird though, that they'd use scriptural type references... Gabriel yes, he's in there, but Vlad the Impaler? ...no. Vlad (who really was a person in history) was made into legend for the brutal manner he killed people... (impaled, obviously). He would use large pikes to display the bodies of his victims... (if you look closely at his tower/base in the movie, there are bodies stabbed through with pikes decorating here and there...)
as for the "only werewolves can beat vampires"... I don't know WHERE they got that. I thought it was a lame theory, but that fight was AWESOME. good stuff. If any of you have seen the anime Hellsing(totally different story) the main character is Alucard(Dracula spelled backward anyone?) and he is supposedly the son of the original Dracula... anyway... he gets staked, decapitated, sliced to pieces... all kinds of crap and doesn't die... so... I'm not sure how else you'd kill a vampire when the conventional methods don't work...
...um... ok... I'm done ranting now... lol... (Hyper_Angel_Neko - The avatar is from "Excel Saga"... it's her "good" conscience blasting the crap out of her "bad" conscience... ^_^)
~Mika
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 21, 2004 03:54 PM (GMT)
Well, now that Susan is MEGA happy that she is not alone in thinking Dracy is cool, what next?
Susan thinks that Carl - the cool friar guy ("You can't do that! You're a monk!" "Actually, I'm only a friar, so yes I can!") - was the guy who played Robin Hood in a film called Robin Hood Men in tights
Susan made me mad. Grr. I never knew Dracy walked on the ceiling... I WANNA!!!! Weeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I'm on a sugar high today. Plus, I'm angry with Susan, but thats going off the subject.
Van Hellsing sounds SO cool!! I wanna see it!! But no one will let me see it. Susan says I need someone like her age with me to go see it. Maybe I will persuade her to take me... that or Harry Potter 3. Or both. :P
bjuhn - May 21, 2004 03:57 PM (GMT)
Mikayla - May 21, 2004 07:03 PM (GMT)
Oooo, I wanna see Harry Potter! But it comes out on the day I leave for A-Kon! Curse you, people who decide when movies should come out! Curse you!
*laughs*
Er...back on topic...
Van Helsing was cool. *laughs*

Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 21, 2004 08:24 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, forgot something.
MIKA....... what's Excel Saga? Yes, I know, I really need to get out more, but, seriously, what IS Excel Saga? Anyone else feel free to answer aswell. I might have heard Susan mention it once or twice but still....
Also, Mika, your signature is RUDE!!!! I mean, I actually GET that, and it makes me scared of you a little. :( But anyways...
It seems to me that in HP3 there will be a lot of shouting. I hate it when Harry shouts. It just sounds, like, gross. And Sirius is WAY ugly. Really.
Oh, and Mikayla, don't blame the people who decide when the movies come out, blame the people who run A - Kon!!! If tey didn't have A - Kon on the 31st of May, it wolud be o.k. So there. :P
Umm, yeah and bjhun (have I spelt your name wright?) THAT CLUB SUCKS!!!! Trust, it does.
Mika Saigo - May 21, 2004 09:55 PM (GMT)
In simplest terms, Excel Saga is a comedy that makes fun of just about every Genre of anime there is. (Girly Romance, Mecha, Cute things, Power Rangers, etc...) It's fairly popular... I liked the it, it was ok. not GREAT, but it was fun. of course, that's just my opinion and i'm sure there's people out there that LOVE it. but I thought the little avatar was cute... and matched my sometimes-angry/sometimes psycho persona... (which is also why i have that signature... someone bugged me about not having one, so... yeah. I think it's funny... though I think I've flipped people off maybe a total of... 3 or 4 times in my entire life... it's reserved for when i'm way mad... lol...)
anyway... HP - Prizoner of Azkaban - can I just say, i'm SO excited for that to come out? I'm quite disappointed though in the actors for Remus and Sirius... i mean... in the books, they're described as both being quite handsome... and from the trailers, they're not... maybe Sirius will clean up later in the movie... o.o at least I hope so... heh. I'm most psyched for the 4th movie though, "Goblet of Fire" since that is my favorite of the books. very cool. Lookin' forward to the movie though. good stuff. I thought it came out on the 3rd or the 4th...? if A-kon is the 31st, then you'll still be able to see it, right? (ah... speaking of A-kon, were you there last year??? I was there!!! maybe we saw eachother and didn't know it! lol...)
lol... yeah... this was a helsing topic... heh... hey, actually the title says "mika's comments"... so does that mean i can say anything and it will still be on topic? lol...
~Mika
bjuhn - May 22, 2004 07:06 AM (GMT)
yup, mika, bad luck, imagine hov boring a board would be if averyone stayed on topic, it vould be like a world where everyone actually stopped for red ligthts, and nobody stayed up all night to to draw manga... ;)
(...i'm gonna go jump in the sea... <_< )
Mikayla - May 22, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)
A-Kon usually does begin on the 31st of May, however this year it's June 4-6. I guess because they wanted to keep it on the weekend or something...either way, it's moved and it starts when Harry Potter comes out...but I'm totally seeing it when I get back!
Mika, I was there last year, but I wasn't in anything recognizable that you might know me from...unless you saw Anime Press Your Luck, in which I was a contestant. *laughs* This year I want to see if I can pull together a Yuri Sakazaki outfit, but I don't know if I'll have the top done in time...so it might just be regular me again. *laughs*
Oh, and I'm SO glad you said something about Remus! Because in all the footage/trailers/whatever that I've seen, I haven't seen him anywhere...and I was like, "They HAVE to have him in there...where is he?" So...whew. *laughs* Any news on Cho Chang? I bet she's going to be in it too.
I want to see the 5th one though...mainly for one scene. That flashback scene. I want to see it soo much! I can just imagine them all cute and young...Remus all calm and together with James and Sirius all showing off...*laughs* I hope it's cool! But the 4th one should totally be awesome too! I hope. *laughs* I want to see Harry sprout gills...isn't that right? Doesn't he sprout gills? It's been so long since I've read the books...*laughs*
Oh, and I think the "Whatever Mika says is on topic" totally works! *laughs*
Oh, and Excel Saga's kinda funny, but I think it's best when the ADVid Notes are on. *laughs* I think it makes it better! Basically, ADV added little pop ups that pop up when a japanese pun is made, or like, it'll point something out that's going on in the background of the show that you might have not noticed on your own...*laughs*
And yeah!

Mika Saigo - May 23, 2004 01:21 AM (GMT)
sweet! You were there last year?! thats so cool! Did you happen to see someone dressed as the Dark Magician from Yu-Gi-Oh? or... if you don't watch Yu-Gi-Oh, someone in a really tall dorky purple hat/outfit... eh heh... cause.... that was me. I had some art pieces up in the artist alley too, dunno if you checked that out or not... but it was there! it was lots of fun too. the drive out there killed me though... 22 hours!! if i go again i'll fly for SURE.
Next weekend(memorial day weekend) is CONduit... i think i've mentioned in my rants before... I'm SO nervous, I'm on like 3 or 4 panels and I still need to finish my costumes... o_o
Let's see... Remus. I THINK i've seen him in the trailers. He's talking to Harry or one of the other students and giving the lesson on Boggarts(if you've seen the trailer with Snape in a dress, he's in it). Or at least I'm pretty sure that's him. He didn't look all that cute though... so sad. I've seen some REALLY pretty doujinshi about Remus and Sirius and the others during their school days at hogwarts... SO CUTE! oh my goodness! just adorable! so I guess I'm a little jaded when I see the real Remus and it doesn't quite look as cute... so sad.
and YES the 4th one Harry sprouts gills. I just want to see all the other students from around the world... they sound so cool! heh. Haven't seen Cho Chang yet, so not sure at all what she'll be like... hmm... My friends and I want to dress up and see the midnight showing for the 3rd movie. My sister and her boyfriend could easily be Harry and Hermione and my little(i use the term "little" loosely. He's over 6' 8"...) brother wants to dress as Hagrid. He could do it too. easily. I dunno who I'd be... just a student most likely. but afterwards they wanted to do a "Hogwarts Feast" which everyone would bring a favorite "hogwarts dish" to. which I think would be awesome-fun... anyone else doing something cool to celebrate the movie?
~Mika
bjuhn - May 23, 2004 07:34 PM (GMT)
I ain't doing sh*t. I don't really know any freaks like myself... and it would be even more boring to celebrate alone... :(
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 26, 2004 07:46 AM (GMT)
HI!!! Me again!! And Mika, YES it IS Mika's comments, so you can talk about whatever you want. So there. :P
I WATCH Yu-Gi-Oh!!!! Me & Susan think it rocks!! I think it would be sooo funny to see you as the Dark Magician, but the chances of me seeing you last time at A-Kon were like, NIL seeing as I wasn't there. And I never will be. -_- I lead a sad, sad life. Oh well.
I TOTALLY need to fin out when Harry Potter is showing. Because, surprise surprise, Susan is not here on the 31st. That just sucks. Grr, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!!!
Excel Saga sounds good... matbe I'll check out if Ghosty has Excel Saga Kitties around... for what reason, I am not sure. Thats another thing that I want vidioes of... EXCEL SAGA ^_^
Mika Saigo - May 26, 2004 04:45 PM (GMT)
awesome, i can hook you up there. Ghost DOES have an Excel kitty. Excel is the only one though. anyway, in the way of music videos of Excel Saga... there can be only ONE that is awesome... ONE that is uber-cool. THIS is that one:
http://www.delusionalproductions.org/the Excel Saga Pop-Up video. It is the end all to end all excel videos. very good stuff. and no... i'm not just saying so because i know the guy that did it... ;) It has won awards at several conventions and such and it will just have you laughing. good stuff. enjoy!

Hey thanx!!! Right now I'm listening to the Harry Potter Puppet Pals over and over again. Bother, bother, bother, bother, bother, bother.... :D But, really. Naked Dumbledore dancing? NO WAY..... Bother, bother, bother, bother, bother, bother, AVADA KEDEVERA!!!!!!!! So cool!
Puppet Pals... How I love thee...
On the subject of Harry Potter, one of my friends and I have come to the conclusion that Sirius is fit. Don't ask how. We got this from the glimpses of him you get on www.harrypotter.com on the movie trailers. V. cool. :lol: ;;;
I am trying out that link as soon as I've finished typing this message. I swear.
Also, I should REALLY get rid of the Potter Pals, because, as it is, I know for a fact that all I will say for the rest of the day is evey word from there. Oh, well.
SIRIUS!!!!!

Whoops... I posted the last message twice... Oh dear...
I just realised, by the way, Mikayla's link works, only the website is down.
And I totally don't get Mika's link!!! Theres nothing I can click on!!! WAH!!!!!!!!!! :(
Yesterday, I was busy busting my gut out with Teen Titans... way cool show... CHIBI'S!!!! Not that the characters are chibi's all the time, just some of the time. I recon Beast Boy's the best character... Even if he does scream like a girl. He thinks the monster will eat the group 'one at a time. Starting with the good - looking comic relief guy! ME!!'
Though I don't understand that, as he is green and can change into any animal he wants. I am sooooo sure that Comic Relief would let him work for them. <_< Meh.
Just looking back, my post is very linky & Teen Titany. Wierd.
Mika-Chan - May 28, 2004 10:33 PM (GMT)
I love teen titans, but lets not spam,uh to Mika if I were to make a topic for teen titans where should it go? anime and manga or any and everything? I've seen the topic in many different places, just wondering
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 29, 2004 08:01 AM (GMT)
Panda!!!!! Dude, haven't been watching my Teen Titans for a WHOLE half a day now!!! And that's a long time! :D Only not been watching it coz I've been reading. Not Manga either. A REALLY cool book called Crystal Mask. I've read the prequal, Song Quest, and it ROCKS. Anything with the word BLUE in it can't be bad. :lol: ;;;;
On my video with T T on it, there is also Outlaw Star. I LOVE OUTLAW STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only this episode is set in this place called Hagone Hotsprings World. I think this was mainly for the fanboys. I mean, just to get caster shells, Gene has to climb a mountain, blow up a ceiling, play table tennis, ask the lady to shoot some naked footage of herself on a video camera, climb back down the mountain, hand over the footage, just to get two measly bullets. Well, four if you count the ones from Urt. (The lady up the mountain) Then he hangs around to watch the footage. Then, at the end of the footage, when it self-destructs, he goes with it. Just class.
Mika Saigo - May 31, 2004 02:06 AM (GMT)
y'know, i'm fine with any series being placed in the "anime and manga" sections. teen titans may not be anime, but it's still a cool show, so go ahead and discuss it in that section if you would like.
~Mika
Hyper_Angel_Neko - May 31, 2004 05:15 PM (GMT)
Teen Titans isn't an anime...? I didn't even consider that as a possibility! :o OMG!!!!

today? is it a special preview? I thought it wasn't due out till the 4th of June? and yup, teen titans isn't an anime. i think it's called a "hybrid" because many of the animators are asian, but it is animated and created here in the states. the original language in it is english, etc. but they use the anime-style. another example would be Batman Beyond or Totally Spies. same concept. yup yup.

Mika, if you look back through the pages, I have mentioned before about Harry Potter 3 coming out on the 31st. -_- Or have you forgotten? Me, you and Mikayla had a brief topic of discussion on that. Mikayla was complaining that HP3 was coming out on the day she was at A-Kon. Remember?
LOOKIT!!! I GOT AN AVITARA ND SIGNATURE!!!!! I just couldn't figure out how you got one. Until yesterday, when I accidentally went exploring. :D Isn't my avi SOOOOOO cute!?! Cats are TOTALLY my favorite animal. Meow!
