Hey, we need some airsoft rules.

Like speed, and such...

And to prevent things like this from happening:

Or at least try to prevent it. The first one happens, but not very often, and I dont' think it can be regulated against, unless we advocate full face masks.

For FPS, I would say limit to one joule (329 FPS, using .2g) for attack purposes. Snipers would have a higher FPS limit (2.31 joules, or 500 FPS using .2g), but a minimal engagement distance.

Safety:
1. The maximum energy expelled by a gun is 1 joule.
2. Sniper rifles have a maximum of 2.31 joules.
3. No real guns, BB guns, pellet guns, (essentially, only airsoft guns)
4. No Water guns.
5. All participants, players, observers, referees, are required to wear eye protection when in the field of play.
6. Firing on observers, eliminated players, or non participating individuals is prohibited. Such action would result in a). ejection out of the current game or cool.gif. suspension of all games for that day
7. When removing masks, make sure everybody knows so. Be sure to yell "Masks off" before doing so, and please be sure that other players have heard you.
8. No physical fighting of any sort, other then by knife outs or getting shot.
9. In the event that non participants (people that aren't playing and have no idea we are playing) entering the boundaries, or being spotted, everybody must put their guns on the ground with the mags out and masks off (the masks can be somewhat intimidating), until the situation is resolved.
10. When not in play, all guns that can be safed, will be safed until you are a. sufficiently far enough away from the dead zone or b. starting a game.

Player Elimination: These rules may change according to a scenario
1. Contact, whether on clothes, skin, or equipment is considered a "hit"/"kill". This constitutes an "elimination". Once eliminated, the player will proceed to the "dead zone". Exclusions include, heavy back packs, bulky equipment, and weapons as described in 2.
2. Weapons, and bulky equipment such as big back packs when hit, will not be considered a "hit". Your equipment will be "inspected" before game to determine bulkyness. Weapons when hit will be rendered "disabled", in the event of a weapon being hit, the player must change to a secondary weapon of his own, or a team mate.
3. A hit from a team mate will be considered friendly fire, and considered a "hit".
4. When a player is hit, he will stand up right and yell "HIT", "OUT", or something like that and proceed to the dead zone. With your weapon held above your head.
5. Richochets do not count as "hits".
6. Once hit you will move to the "dead zone", without saying anything other then "hit" and "out", no telling of where the enemy is located and no shooting.
7. When you are at point blank distances, as in, close enough to touch, do not shoot. Please go for a knife out, or a tap out (which is to tap the person with your gun). Please do it firmly, but not hard.
8. Surrender is allowed if you want to. Once you surrender, you are out of the game as if you were hit. To surrender, you will act as if hit, stand up with your gun held above your head and yell either "hit" or "I surrender".

General Rules:
1. AEGs and Gas weapons are not allowed in "serious" games. If you want to bring one, be sure to springer along.
2. There will be no Time Out calls other then for emergencies, such as injuries.
3. Communications equipment such as radios are allowed, but the monitoring of another teams radio communication by the opfor is NOT allowed.
4. You carry all the things you need in the field with you, there is no time outs, no free pass to the dead zone to get ammo, batteries, a spare mag, etc. You have what you need, if you don't, then you borrow somebody else's.
5. There will be no use of hostages, unless agreed upon by all participants in a scenario which requires the use of them.

oh god that's disgusting! can't we have some kind of "click to see" pictures! ow!

but yeah i agree on the rules, although i don't think we're gonna have much of a problem. if something like that happens.... well make sure it doesn't.

good point spets!

The first one as spetsnazgg is saying is easily prevented, I agree with him. Full face masks are relatively cheap, comfortable, and help w/ camoflauge, and will provide FULL face protection there by nullifying any risk of painful face shots or chipping a tooth. I dont' believe the second risk wil be that bad, saying we're only a springer team, but precations must be taken. I doubt anyone will exceed the limits that spets suggested, but I agree with them.

We need a chrono, to get the joules tested out before game.

If anybody is willing to mod, they may go over, especially if they get a super 9 pro or some other sniper rifle.

I say when we do get a questionable rifle (or pistol) we should shoot it 50ft away from a person bareback, so we can examine what kind of dimple it leaves and the guy can tell how much it hurt. we could draw straws! or just shoot jack in case he isn't feeling as insecure as he should be feeling. besides he'll probably already have his shirt of trying to encourage the playing of a leather-whipping game.

Lol, that reminds me.

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...ail?bulletID=29
Read the paragraph near the bottom about power play. And they say Airsoft is less painful, and less "manly" then paintball? Ouch.

Oh yea, let's get a little on topic, any other rules you want to add? We need to get a list.

I'm thinking that the maximum guns a person may carry on to the field is 3. I don't want to see somebody decked out with guns for every occasion. Although, if you want to weigh yourself down, go right on ahead. Mayber there shouldn't be a limit... I don't know, what do you guys think?

As for the punishments. I would say firing squad, from... oh say, 20 feet away, with the guy turned out spread out, and facing away from the people. Everybody gets to take 5 shots. I dont' know how to determine if the guy is cheating though. Continous cheating will leave you black listed, and excluded from the games.

Yeah, the "firing" squad sounds like a good idea for a punishment, but we need to come up with things that you would get punished for. Also, I don't think we really need to get a chrono, I mean who among us really wants to pay the money to get one? I say that we use the "poor mans chrono" if we need to check the guns out for stuff.

Yeah, but we hear alot of things from Uegwen. Don't count on it. Until we get a chrono we stick with the poor mans chrono.

Yea, to every game bring a can.

Empty or full, you'll need to empty it when it's full though. Preferably Coke or Sprite, since they supposedly have the most consistancy.

Here's a link

By the way, I just chrono'd my MP5 w/ a can that my sister gave me. It was some albertsons brand can, so the results may very. On the first shot it penetrated the side of the can easily, and made a dent on the other side. One the second shot, it severely dented the side of the can, and ripped a hole in it, but the bb didn't actually enter the can. On the 3rd shot i tried to see if it would go through the bottom of the can for fun. It made a nice bb shaped dent, but didn't go through. So, i estimate my FPS for my MP5 to be around 295 or 300

Cool. I've never got my MP5 to puncture a can on the first shot before.

Yes, do you have anymore suggestions to rules? We need to make a list of rules. Right now, we dont' even have enough for a 10 Airsoft Commandments.

Yeah, I have some suggestions. 1. Each round/game we have a dedicated "out" section. For example, when ppl are out, they go to ( in Inferno's field) the treehouse. 2. ppl who are out cannot talk. dead ppl dont' talk. 3. dead ppl cannot shoot ppl who are in( i know, i've done this before, but i've turned a new leaf! honest.) 4. No gas, AEG's, electric guns of any sort. (note, this rule should be able to be bent a bit, in the case of spetsnazgg's friend)

I've edited the thing and added some extra rules to the list.

I would like to have some discussion about Weapon limits though, if you would like to discuss. Please create a thread for it.

Since things that are pinned seem to be ignored almost immediatly. I have decided to unpin this, in an effort to get people to post here.

We need some set rules people. Post stuff that we have missed!
