I'm talking about Godlen Sun. So how many of you have played this game. I've just completed Golden Sun and now waiting to play the Lost age.

its an RPG. if you like Final Fantasy or Pokemon, youll probably like this game. its really lots of fun, and the graphics are friggin awesome. the music is pretty good also. if youre not sure about buying it you can always just download a rom to test it out first.

Okay, but what's the whole point of the game?

if you mean the storyline, then ill do my best to explain it. these two people, Saturos and Menardi, have stolen three of the four Elemental stones...Water, Earth, and Wind. youre character Isaac has the Fire stone. anyway, the two villains are going around lighting up the lighthouses that correspond with each power....which is a bad thing....
im not really sure how to explain it i guess. plus i havent played it in a very long time. one of the really fun parts of the game is collecting Djinni, these cute little creatures that each have different powers. the more you collect the more powerful beasts you can summon and stuff.
im sure you can find more info on the game from around the internet.

AWESOME! I want to get it!

Kyogre2 - May 2, 2003 11:41 AM (GMT)
I've beaten it twice! So I'm waiting for The Lost age to come out & to get enough money!

Same here. I'm trying not to fall into the temptation of playing the roms. Its just not as fun as playing it in real cratridge. (Especially if your computer is a snail) :P

I think I remember seeing it in Target. I'll have to look it up on ign.com to find more about it. You can get it for GBA, right? That's the only platform I have right now... *growls at brother who stole the PS2 from me*

I would kill my brother before he ever thought of stealing the PS2, but sadly, that action is out of my power. Anyway, all your advice has helped in the dicision of getting Golden Sun. I think I would rather rent it first, then if I like it, I'll buy it.

Yeah. Golden Sun and the Lost Age are both for GBA. The graphics are amazing for a hand held system. I don't think the SNES could have pull it off. It's that good.

Anyways, our four (is that a spoiler?) heroes are trying to stop the four Elemental Lighthouses from being lit because it'll release the Power of Alchemy back into the world. Alchemy was sealed by some wise men to prevent it's power from getting into the wrong hands and destroying the world. Naturally, it would seem like a noble thing to prevent. However, this kind of fear would be easily reproduced if you introduced the Medieval Church to the Car. They'd throw curses, kick the thing, tie you to a stake, etc.... They'd do everything in their power to stop you from comming, if they knew of your plot. Yeah, Alchemy was something like that.

In battles, you control from 1 to 4 characters, and pick moves for them to execute for the turn. You can attack, defend, use items, cast spells, or summon Djinni. Djinns can either use their individual special ability (like boosting your party's defense) or combine to summon huge creatures to deal massive damage upon your foes! Summons consist of 1 to 4 Djinn of a single type. (Mars/Fire, Venus/Earth, Jupiter/Wind, Mercury/Water) You get these multi-elemental summons for Lost Ages, which are bizzare combinations of different elements. The biggest combination programmed was (I think) 4 Venus and 9 Mars Djinni. Or something like that. It's huge! (But my bro is hogging the game so I never got to try it.)

My brother managed to beg Dad to buy the game. It's awesome, by the way he talks about it. Oh yeah, finish the first game first before you go buy the second. You can "continue" your adventure from the first game to the second! And another thing; don't equip any "Cursed" weapons until you get the item that negates the "Curse" effect. Think of it this way: the character with a cursed weapon is like a Pokémon with a 150 base-power attack with a cool side-effect, but it's permanently Paralyzed, Confused, Attracted, and High at the same time. You can't do anything! But, when you equip the anti-curse band (forgot the name), you get to use these awesome weapons with awesome side effects! (Think Aeroblast with the potential ability to en-Toxic-ate your foe with Bane-type Venom. Bane is the final Venus Djinn you can get; cute and powerful at the same time!) I gave one to Mia, my healer: if she can't hit worth Majikarp, then at least her hits should have a spuer-cool effect.... That's Venom from my Mia, and Venom from my Isaac. Cruel, just plain cruel.....
