Title: Legendaries: movesets,natures and items
Reaper - October 15, 2004 05:39 AM (GMT)
Since there has been multiple requests for analysis of legendary pokemon, I'll put up a thread for them. As most of it is pretty standard, no explanation would be given.

Latios@leftovers (or that whatever dew if you have it)

Hehe... i would like to put something like this:
Entei
Put in box
Place in box
Put in PC
Put in Bills PC
They aren't really that good even though their stats are higher than most pokemon...anyway give me some time....I have exams right now.
Anyway here are the dogs:
Entei@leftovers
Modest (EVs in Spd and SpAtt)
Calm mind
Sunny day
Flame thrower
Solarbeam
Suicune@leftovers
Modest (EVs in Spd and SpAtt)
Calm mind
Ice beam
Surf
Mirror coat
Raikou@leftovers
Modest (EVs in Spd and SpAtt)
Calm mind
Rain dance
Thunder
HP water
Severest - October 21, 2004 07:05 PM (GMT)
I heard the Entei is the worst and Suicune is the best.
Reaper - October 22, 2004 12:19 AM (GMT)
Really? Judging from their stats and movelist, I'd say suicune is the worst. It looks the best though. Raikou looks like a silly clown.
Suicune has good defences though, so you could use it as a physical sponge.
Nothing compared to skarmory/weezing though. (since skarmory doubles up as a spiker and weezing learns will-o-wisp as well as explosion, and both of them are immune to the ever-so-popular earthquake.)
You could give it this moveset for a sponge.
Suicune@leftovers
(EVs in Hp and Def)
Toxic
Mirror coat/reflect
Protect
Rest
Not a bad sponge(if you are allowed to use it), especially since its ability pressure drains opponents pp twice as fast, causing him to run out of moves quickly. Too bad it cannot learn any defense increasing moves.
Mirror coat to return damage to special attackers or reflect to reduce damage.
Reaper - October 31, 2004 10:14 AM (GMT)
Zapdos
Hasty/naive (EVs in SpAtt and Att)
Rain dance
Thunder
Drill peck
Steel wing
Articuno
Jolly (EVs in Spd and HP)
Mind reader
Sheer cold
Toxic
Ice beam
Very useful(if it is allowed) when used with spikers. Mind reader would definitely induce a switch. Should be able to poison the entire team without much problems.
Use sheer cold when your opponent anticipates a toxic coming. :cheese:
Haven't thought of a decent moveset for moltres.... too bad choice band doesn't affect special attacks.

Really? Are you serious??? I thought it just didn't work on non-damaging moves...
Reaper - November 1, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
I think it still restricts you to one move, but it doesn't add that 50% extra damage for special attacks.
Thats why swapping choice band onto a special sweeper can be so nasty.
LegendaryDragon - November 1, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
ahh
wats up with the mewtwo having a flame thrower?
HypeBeamer - November 2, 2004 12:59 AM (GMT)
Haha. *pictures Mewtwo shooting fire from it's palms*
Reaper - November 2, 2004 02:23 AM (GMT)
Same reason why alakazam must have fire/ice/thunder punch.
Unless of course u prefer this moveset:
Mewtwo
Psychic
Psybeam
Confusion
Recover
Severest - November 3, 2004 12:24 AM (GMT)
lol... that gave me a laugh... now, please, Ho-oh and Lugia. Also, a question, whenever I try to trade my Mew and Deoxys from Sapphire to LeafGreen it says that the trainer is unable to trade the pokemon. What is this and how can I trade it over?
Reaper - November 4, 2004 05:57 AM (GMT)
Ho-Oh
Sunnyday
Solarbeam
Flamethrower
Recover
Lugia
Recover
Whirlwind
Psychic
Surf/Aeroblast(since good flying moves are so rare and surf is so common)
Severest - November 5, 2004 02:00 AM (GMT)
Hmm... How about Jirachi, Mew, and Celebi.
Reaper - November 10, 2004 09:34 AM (GMT)
Celebi@leftovers
Modest (EVs in HP and SpAtt)
Recover
Calm mind
Psychic
Baton pass
With its decent stats, it makes an OK calm mind passer. These are rare.
Mew@leftovers
Jolly (EVs in Spd and Att)
Swords dance
Sludge bomb
Shadowball
Softboiled
Shrug.
Jirachi@leftovers
Jolly (EVs in Hp/SpAtt and Spd)
Calm mind
Wish
Psychic
Water pulse
Reaper - November 12, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
Is that all the legendaries available up to now?
Can't think of anymore...
HypeBeamer - November 12, 2004 02:14 AM (GMT)
I'd say that's all of them. For a moment I thought you skipped the Regis though...
Severest - November 12, 2004 09:41 PM (GMT)
Reaper - November 14, 2004 08:01 AM (GMT)
Deoxys is the real no brainer....
Deoxys(Att version)
Choice band
Extreme speed
Filler
Filler
Filler
Simply extreme speed everything that is not immune/near immune to it. Maybe include shadowball to deal with ghosts and brick break/flamethrower to get rid of steel types.
Severest - November 14, 2004 04:20 PM (GMT)
Rayquaza and Moltres please.
Reaper - November 21, 2004 09:30 AM (GMT)
For in-game purposes:
Rayquaza
Dragon claw
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
Crunch/Ice beam
If you are gonna use for battles, which i doubt would be often.....
Rayquaza
Dragon dance
Earthquake
Ice beam/Rockslide
Double-edge
Ice beam lets you damage ice beaming claydol. (Earthquake won't hit it, rockslide is in effective, and that thing has high defences anyway...need effective hits to OHKO it.) Also lets you OHKO salamence, IF you have dragon danced before it is switched in.(which would be a stupid move.)
Moltres
Flamethrower/Heat wave
HP Grass (Too bad...no solarbeam)
Aerial ace
Filler
Moltres gave me a head ache.
HypeBeamer - November 21, 2004 06:05 PM (GMT)
Haha, elemental legendaries tend to have crappy move pools. I have a Modest Rayquaza, so I thought that I might as well give it special moves...
kyodongrougre - November 23, 2004 08:37 AM (GMT)
regis wouldnt count...if they did
there would be others out there too like:
metagross, dragonite, tyranitar, latios, latias
Reaper - November 23, 2004 08:55 AM (GMT)
Regis are legendary, so are the Lati.
Dragonite, salamance, tyranitar and metagross are not.
Legendaries are pokemon with base stats of 600 and above and do not evolve.

Really? I didn't realize that there was that type of definition of legendary Pokemon. I thought it was just in the show, how they call certain Pokemon legendary.
Reaper - November 24, 2004 04:06 AM (GMT)
Thats not the definition....that is something all legendaries have in common.
HypeBeamer - November 27, 2004 03:07 AM (GMT)
Say...don't the Regis, the 3 birds, and the 3 dogs have 580 base stats?
Reaper - November 27, 2004 03:34 AM (GMT)
Not very sure, but they are legendaries still.
kyodongrougre - November 29, 2004 12:52 AM (GMT)
close enough...
analysis of the 3 birds?
HypeBeamer - November 29, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
Go back a page for Moltres and on the first page is the other two. If you're too lazy then find (Ctrl + F) it.
kurt - February 18, 2005 07:45 PM (GMT)

Slifer - February 25, 2005 02:42 AM (GMT)

Nite-Mare - February 25, 2005 04:03 PM (GMT)
Reaper - February 26, 2005 01:37 PM (GMT)
Please put all of that in 1 post.
