I just cant wait to have snorlax and articuno ^_^

kyodongrougre - August 25, 2004 06:00 AM (GMT)
its not like theyre new. u find them in r/b/y

Pkmn_fan_chris - August 25, 2004 11:05 PM (GMT)
yeah but battling in those games is horrible. Also it will be good to see how they fare against the new pokemon and with the new moves.

HypeBeamer - August 26, 2004 01:25 AM (GMT)
Yeah! I know what you mean. I'm gonna get a Blissey and see how high its HP gets!

kyodongrougre - August 26, 2004 05:42 AM (GMT)
i thought wigglytuff had lots of hp too. and snorlax? snorlax, unlike blissey, has the necessary defense along with hp to intimidate attackers

Reaper - August 26, 2004 08:08 AM (GMT)
Blissey has one hell of a special def stat.
It is the strongest special sponge there is in the game.
Even the cheap kyogre has difficulty hurting it.

Nite-Mare - August 26, 2004 04:04 PM (GMT)
I got really mad when they anounced Ruby and Sapphire, since I had all my best pokemon from red and gold in my Crystal version, now I can't do crap with them, I filled out the pokedex for nothing. :(

kyodongrougre - August 26, 2004 06:34 PM (GMT)
lol i didnt care. my best teams come from ruby

Nite-Mare - August 27, 2004 07:23 AM (GMT)
Well, the pokemon from red and blue have the best stats ever, not to mention the 1-50 chance of catching a different colored pokemon. That was the time when moves like Fire Blast did real damage. We (my friends and me) where hoping to be able to trade our awesome pokemon from r-b-c-g-s to ruby, but no fat chance in heaven.

kyodongrougre - August 28, 2004 04:03 AM (GMT)
yes...and blizzard had the accuracy to be in every moveset...90 % was it?

Nite-Mare - August 28, 2004 05:32 AM (GMT)
All moves are good on r-b-y, and rare candies don't affect your pkm stats.

kyodongrougre - August 29, 2004 12:13 AM (GMT)
rare candies? depends... can u give me examples of multicolor pkmn>

Nite-Mare - August 29, 2004 12:24 AM (GMT)
As you know, there's no way to know if a pkm cought on r-b-y has a diff color. You know when you trade it to c-g-s. I got a purple slowpoke (now a slowking), a yellow zubat, and a blue scyther.

kyodongrougre - August 30, 2004 12:41 AM (GMT)
as in g/s/c ? or just playing r/b/y in game boy color at least?

Nite-Mare - August 30, 2004 07:14 AM (GMT)
I play r-b so i can move the pkm I need to my crystal version, and then blattle at pkm stadium 2.

kyodongrougre - August 30, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
i have very faint memories of how pokemon stadium games look like, and have never witnessed a battle scene of colloseum...but i wonder how a jirachi will square off against mew

HypeBeamer - August 30, 2004 11:09 PM (GMT)
I'd say Jirachi would come off worse, given the fact that Mew can learn Flamethrower (that is, if it has flamethrower).

Nite-Mare - August 31, 2004 05:42 AM (GMT)
Colloseum got good graphics, but the music was ment to make you fall asleep. I miss the guy that talked on stadium and made those stupid remarks about your pkm. And my weakest Mew can beat the crap out of my strongest Jirachi.

Colloseum story move it's all right, the good thing is that if you have another pkm game, then you can trade with the others ( i have espeon, umbreon, and the three legendary dogs on my sapphire party), stadium was missing that. But colloseum is missing the guy with the funny reamarks (wich believe it or not, you'll miss him bad), and the mini games (friggin' hilarious), but you cant still beat the crap out of your friends with story mode pkm, r-s pkm, and now, fr-lg pkm.

kyodongrougre - August 31, 2004 09:36 PM (GMT)
i wonder how mewtwo's cheapass stats in r/b/y are gonna split in fr/lg?

Reaper - September 1, 2004 11:45 AM (GMT)
It's still the same, but amnesia no longer boosts Special attack and defence like in RBY, so it's not that cheap anymore. However with calm mind and recover, you would still expect it to be as cheap as, or even cheaper than kyogre.

kyodongrougre - September 1, 2004 04:36 PM (GMT)
well of course psychic has alot more weaknesses than water and is also prone to more damage from physical attacks usually than something like kyogre. calm mind is obviously half amnesia in r/b/y but recover works out nice. i hate it when battle tower pkmn keep on using it. usually when they keep doing that i just keep raising my pokemon's stats.

Nite-Mare - September 2, 2004 06:43 AM (GMT)
Try using moves like taunt. Maybe that could help.

kyodongrougre - September 2, 2004 05:09 PM (GMT)
im not sure blaziken, gyarados, or latios can learn that. but they each have stat raising moves

HypeBeamer - September 7, 2004 07:10 PM (GMT)
Gyarados learns Taunt. Hence "Tauntrados."

Nite-Mare - September 8, 2004 06:08 AM (GMT)
Anyways, Is fr and lg coming out tomorrow? I reserved my copy, I just dunno when to got to pick it up.

kyodongrougre - September 8, 2004 07:09 AM (GMT)
o shoot i forgot to reserve!!!!!! ackk wat are the bonuses anyway

Severest - September 8, 2004 10:50 PM (GMT)
a trainers guide i think thats all...

DarkMaster - September 8, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)
I am playing Fire Red as I speak.

Toys R' Us wouldnt sell it til tomarrow, but Gamestop had a few that werent reserved so i got Fire red, my sister got Leaf green.

HypeBeamer - September 8, 2004 11:51 PM (GMT)
Hehe. Lucky bastards...I've never gotten the opportunity to reserve...although it was one thing to miss out on Jirachi, I don't care much about a traienr's guide...(unless it has secrets, of course, but those will hopefully leak out...)

DarkMaster - September 9, 2004 12:26 AM (GMT)
i got the strategy guide, im not looking at it tho, only if i get stuck

but i skimmed through and saw no signs of deoxys....hes not on the pokemon list

hopefully he is suppost to be a big surprise to ppl who dont know about him yet.

but i sure hope he is in this game.

kyodongrougre - September 9, 2004 12:31 AM (GMT)
deoxys can be found in fr/lg the info is already within this very site (www.kyogrelair.cjb.net). see? thats what the internet is for you wont need to buy a stupid guide unless ur not allowed on the comp or something

Nite-Mare - September 9, 2004 06:06 AM (GMT)
QUOTE (Severest @ Sep 8 2004, 03:50 PM)
a trainers guide i think thats all...

It's as useless as nasdaq shares.

Hopefully, the chinese won't be the only ones getting a Deoxys. Because in r-b-y (chinese version), you can get mew. The always get conned with the english version.

DarkMaster - September 10, 2004 01:05 AM (GMT)
why do they even tease us with mew then, dont put him in the strategy guide as a pkmn, its pointless.....unless u have gameshark, which i think is lame if u actually use it, cuz that probably means u suck at this game and need to cheat.....personally i like raising them on my own with no rare candys or anything

kyodongrougre - September 10, 2004 02:50 AM (GMT)
well theres no other way to get a mew...unless you go to one of those nintendo promotions thats like 1000 miles away from where you live usually. so u might as well shark it.

Nite-Mare - September 10, 2004 07:23 AM (GMT)
The one time I tried to cheat was to shark a mew, but the ******* thing never worked, I got so pissed, I'll neve use one of those again.

kyodongrougre - September 10, 2004 11:48 PM (GMT)
my friend helped me get a mew and its lvl 1 now...if only i can breed it i can surely get some good stuff in return. but sadly its in my blue version and that cartridge is under my bed somewhere

Nite-Mare - September 11, 2004 06:47 AM (GMT)
Well, in r-b-y, you can make as many copies of the pkm you need, as well as items, like masterballs and rare candies; and you don't need no shark.

kyodongrougre - September 13, 2004 05:56 AM (GMT)
may i ask how?

Nite-Mare - September 13, 2004 06:47 AM (GMT)
Item glitch: Just go to the east edge of cinnabar island and use surf, start swiming up and down until you find a weird pkm that looks like darkmaster's avatar (don't catch it, you'll mess the hole game) you don't need to fight him, just run away, then check your items, and the item in the 3th spot, should have multiplied times 100. Unlimited masterballs, nuggets, etc.
The pkm multiplier glitch: I don't remember if it works for r-b-y, but it definetly works for silver and gold (not crystal), Make sure to have two empty pkm storage boxes, just save the game in front of a comp in a pkm center; make sure to have the pkm you want to clone, plus an item, if you want. Store the pkm in the first box, then change boxes to the next empty box, the game will ask you if you want to save, say yes. and then it will ask you if you want to overwritte the last file, say yes. It usually reads: "saving... don't turn your crap off", well... turn it off as soon as the word 'saving' appears. When you turn the game back on, you should have the pkm in your party, and the clone in the 1st box.
You can clone up to 5 pkm per time. Just make sure to save it in front of the comp, and when you access the comp, the 1st empty box has to be the one that 1st comes up.

Severest - September 15, 2004 08:52 PM (GMT)
i tried that once, but i didnt work. i think it was because my boxes had pokemon in them...
