hey, does anyone know how i can get a shiny pokemon?
i've got over 170 Hrs of play and i still haven't ran into one.

i have 310+hrs and no shinies

theres no way to guarantee a shiny Pokemon without using a GameShark/CodeBreaker/etc. the chances of running into a shiny Pokemon are very, very low. the only thing i can suggest is running into as many of the same Pokemon as you can. the more you run into the more chance you have of running into a shiny. i found a shiny Spinda while collecting ash. its no wonder, because you can run into many Spinda in that area. you might be lucky too like i was on Ruby. i found a shiny Pokemon right after i received my very first Pokeballs. however the chances of this happening to someone else is -extremely- low.

I found a shiny Spinarak after I had captured Raikou on Crystal Version. This is after the elite four and stuff.

I scanned a Pokemon Battle-e card into Ruby with my e-Reader, and one of the trainers had a green salamence!!! I want one too!!! My friend has run into 3 shinies, a black zubat, a brown/gold poochyena and a green horsea (but he couldn't atch da horsea)
kurt - May 4, 2004 04:45 PM (GMT)
I'm only going to say that YOU CAN'T BREED SHINYS!!!!!!
LavenderAlana - May 5, 2004 12:33 AM (GMT)
Then... how come I can breed mine?
rayquaza_gurl - May 5, 2004 12:50 AM (GMT)
I think what he means is that if you breed shinies, their egg will not nessicarily contain a shiny pokemon. although he didn't explain it too well..="=

yeah.. that kinda confused me too.
