I think Smeargle is pretty useless because all it can learn is sketch.

true, but it does learn any attack the opponet used(which may or may not be a good thing).

true. but what if it learns explosion? i have no use for that attack.

Hey don't hate on these Pokemon :o ! Magikarp learns Splash which I found out does do something. It makes Electric moves 30% more powerful. This would be really cool if you had a Gyrados that still knew splash and you taught it Thunder(this is possible).

And Smergle(I don't if thats how ya spell it) learns cool sketch moves. Mine is sitting in the computer right now with Psychic, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump and Slash.( Wooo. I remember training the thing day'n night. Buying millions of iron to make sure it had enough defense to withstand a single attack). Well I guess that is pretty WEAK :( .

At least Magikcarp evolves into something useful, one of the more useless ones that stays that way is Aipom. That guy can't take a hit at all.

yeah.....i guess that's true. but that would be a garydos, not a magikarp. also, magikarp are hard to train unless they're caught at Lv.40 or something. that way they would actually know half-way decent attacks.

Im not shure if you guys know this but splash does actually harm one pokemon... Tentacool and if you train magicarp correctly it learns tackle (and it turns into a gyarados so its not useless)... And if you train a metapod from caterpie it alredy knows tackle... Anyway no pokemon is completely useless! You just have to know how to train the pokemon right!

It doesnt matter what you say... no pokemon is useless! Weedle can always be a good pokemon in battles... it depends on his level and the oponent, like i sayd before Magikarp can battle a Tentacool and win, a weedle can kick ass against a caterpie. My argument is still up and SHAME ONE YOU LADY SUICUNE!!! You shouldnt start a topic that mocks weaker pokemon... its racism... Just because the pokemon is weak doesnt mean its useless... Pokemon was created for two reasons:
1. For people to learn how to love and take care of Pokemons (not mocking them)
2. So Nintendo can earn billions of bucks by taking money out of small kids pockets!!!

because if we were going by the shows pokemon, none would really be useless... i mean, remember the episode that wooper took on team rocket? and bellesprout beat half ash's team?

The most useless pokemon... well I have to say I don't find any of them USELESS... I find some weaker than others.

Pokemon like the Bellsprout series who have very little to offer in endurance and their skills are very low in PP for usefulness.

Let me see... Fighting pokemon in general are pretty useless as a Psychic pokemon is often a staple in today's pokemon parties.

Now... the BEST pokemon are pokemon that can be used in differnt situations. Psychic usually fit this bill and they were by far the most powerful pokemon in the original series. However, Dark Pokemon are moving to fit this bill very quickly as they are now one of the few pokemon that have nothing that is immune to them. A nice blend of Psychic, Steel, Lightning, Water/Ice, Flying, Ground... that would be a nice mix. Plant Pokemon, Bug Pokemon, and Fighting Pokemon are just too limited in application. Might as well throw a Fire in there too... I have yet to meet a Fire pokemon I couldn't be easily dealt with.

hye yall stop hatin the castform that is one of my av pokemon ive raised the little guy carefully up to lv70 and he is quite useful he beat the twin gymleaders on his own,wll almost he ended up needin help from Marshtomp

Though Magikarp is useless, it will become a Gyarados, which I think is pretty strong. Another useless Pokemon is Abra, unless you raise it into a Kadabra. ;)

castform doesnt suck. its an easier way to get mirage island unlocked.

useless pokemon is feebas. the only attacks it learns are -
tackle level 15
flail level 30.

unless you evolve it to milotic its pretty dumb pokemon.

yeha hidden power which is only good for creating secret bases nothign else unown is perhaps gamefreaks worst next to magikarp and feebas but at least they have potential

Secret Power makes secret bases, Hidden Power is what Unown has.

Abra is not useless because Teleport can really pull you out of a sticky situation.

Weedle, Caterpie, and Wurmple aren't useless because they can help you in your early game. It's one more Pokemon and can sometimes buy you the time you need to revive your main hitter. Besides, Weedle and Wurmple can poison with their Poison Sting attack, which helps a LOT in many situtations.

Smeargle is not useless because it has the ability to get practically any moveset, which is BY FAR one of the best Pokemon abilities in the known game. Then, you can breed it to get the move you copied onto other Pokemon. Oh, FYI Latios, you can't Sketch Explosion because it'll knock Smeargle out! The only way would be if a Focus Band kicks in or Explosion somehow misses. In the game, I've actually managed to get this moveset onto my Smeargle:

Spore -- wild Paras
Mean Look -- wild Golbat
Mind Reader -- Chuck's Poliwrath
Guillotine -- Bug Catcher's Pinsir onboard the GSC cruise ship

Baton Pass maxed-out stats onto this Smeargle, then use the moves in that order. It's practically invcincible and can knock out pretty much any Pokemon in existence. The only problems would be the low PP and Pokemon that use Substitute.

For the weakest Pokemon, it's tied between Magikarp, Feebas, and possibly a low-level Hoppip, for obvious reasons.
