Description: female or male?
dark_suicune8 - October 3, 2003 03:31 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I also agree that Pikachu is a male. I just always thought of Pikachu beign that way.

i'v comed up with 3 conclusions that Pikachu is a female:
1. smaller than the average pikachu
2. higher voice than an average pikachu
3. very attached to Ash
if you have any conclusions that pikachu is male or female, post them here.

um......it's voice is
lower than the usual pikachu.......
anyway....i don't know if he's/she's a girl or boy, but i think Ash's Pikachu might be shiny.........i looked at a picture of a shiny pikachu and a regular pikachu and there isn't much difference...plus pikachu is never in a pokeball so we can't tell if it's shiny when it comes out of the pokeball......
Normal Pikachu:

Shiny Pikachu:

sorry if this is a bit off topic.

no, because when i watched episodes with other pikachus in them, they had lower voices then Ash's pikachu.

in the episode Pokemon Paparazzi, it had a pikachu with a very low voice. and the ep. Battle Aboard The St. Anne, pikachu used Double Team(i'm pretty sure it did), and Double Team usually causes the illusions to have higher voices.

They didn't use double team, they goton eachother's backs like cheerleaders and used Thunderbolt on Team Rocket.
On Pokemon Paparazzi there was one pikachu, not a whole bunch. If that one pikachu has a lower voice it doesn't mean that it's usual!

male, its just so obvious. i dont know if people know this but Pokemon is directed toward boys. so making Pikachu female would...clash.
Pikachu is attached to Ash because they are meant to be shown as 'best friends'. seriously, no one has noticed that the entire anime has a 'best friend' theme?
if anyone is considering Pikachus voice in this, go back to sleep, because youre obviously high on something.
if Pikachu is shiny than he was never intended to be, since when the show started there was no such thing as a shiny Pokemon.
and btw, its even more obvious that Pikachu is male in the manga. anyone ever heard of Lum? its a female Pikachu, obviously made to look feminine next to Pikachu, to contrast between the different genders.
BAM, just try to top that.
2legendary4u - October 3, 2003 12:33 PM (GMT)
i guess there is no real way to tell...
bunnygirl - October 3, 2003 06:54 PM (GMT)
sure there is, theres way more evidence that hes male rather than female.
2legendary4u - October 3, 2003 07:04 PM (GMT)
i guess so... i just thought this would be interesting to talk about. oh, and some people believe Pikachu is a female, not just me :D ! i guess everyone has theie own opinion, and i don't usually like to interfere with that...
bunnygirl - October 3, 2003 07:16 PM (GMT)
ok then. why anyone would still think Pikachu is female though is beyond me.
2legendary4u - October 3, 2003 07:18 PM (GMT)
people say pikachu is a female in fanfics...

2legendary4u - October 3, 2003 07:20 PM (GMT)
i don't know... just felt like saying it...
bunnygirl - October 3, 2003 07:21 PM (GMT)
well if you brought it up it must mean something. i hope thats not the only reason you think Pikachu is female.

well if you mentioned it it must have some effect on your opinion.
i recall the Looney Toon character Tweety, everyone thought it was female. but it didnt effect my opinion. then when Sweetie came along, everyone realized he was male...
2legendary4u - October 3, 2003 07:27 PM (GMT)
i knew Tweety was a male to start with!
bunnygirl - October 3, 2003 07:28 PM (GMT)
heh, ok good...there was this girl in my class that was obsessed with Tweety and thought he was female. still bothers to this day.
2legendary4u - October 3, 2003 07:29 PM (GMT)
a lot of people thought Tweety was a female...
rayquaza_gurl - October 4, 2003 11:30 PM (GMT)
Well, its an easy mistake to make, since he has a high voice and big eyelashes...
bunnygirl - October 5, 2003 12:21 AM (GMT)
hes made to look cute, and hes a bird...i dont know why everyone thinks the characters voice is so important, because theyre cartoon characters and theyre not even human
2legendary4u - October 5, 2003 02:04 AM (GMT)
people are weird let me tell you!
