Title: Is neopets getting a bit too cute?

It was ALL over the boards tonight! Some poeple are saying Adam(founder of neopets) is gay.
Although, neopets has grown marvelously neopets is getting to be too girly.
I mean how would a guy look going in Limited Too or Claire or buying a little cute toy plushie? :lol:

Well, I just don't know. Really, I think it's turning into a girl site myself. So I guess that means all the cool looking neopets are going down the drain. Well, being a girl myself, I find cute things irresistable too, but the other half of me says, "MUTANTS ROCK!!!" As you can see I am half and half. And why would a guy want a neopets plushie anyway?

yeah, I heard that neopets was orginally was supposed to be for 17+18 year olds in the editorial... weird huh?
It is getting maybe a bit too cute, but with mutants and stuff... i dunno.

Yeah, I kno, but once a buncha kids started to use neopets, they decided to let people of all ages in.

I really resent the idea that you people would consider male homosexuals more effeminate that heterosexual guys. That's just a nasty stereotype, and it's just as bad as prejudice in my book.
And getting back on topic, it wouldn't matter if Adam is gay. Neopets is popular, and it will continue to be popular for a long while. Neopets isn't "getting" cute-sy, it was always cute-sy for as long as I could remember.

out of curiosity, how old are the majority of you all? i'm 20 and i play neopets (yeah, i'm a girl... hopefully you could tell that from the username). i take it that most of you are younger than 17 if you were offended by their original intentions... heh heh heh. which is understandable since i wouldn't expect many 17 and 18 year olds to play. personally, i think i'm a bit too old to play, but they're just so durned cute. :wub:

my 37 year old mom plays and so does my older bro who is in collage. I acidentally got them hooked.
And I must admit, some of the stuff on the site is girly, but then again, how many girls even bother with Krawks, Jetsams, Technos, Tonus, Skeiths, Grarrls and Buzzes? Deffinately not too girly. And get your mom, sister and/or girlfriend to go into Claries or Limited Too to get you a plushie.
