Hello Everyone - welcome to the new JSGS board!

To try and create a friendly atmosphere here I thought it would be a good idea if everyone posts a bit about themselves, or just says hi, here so we all know who we are talking to.

I'm obviously Julia and the owner of this site and message board. Here's some questions for you to answer or not as you like when introducing yourself. They are quite similar to the ones in the guestbook but even if you have signed that and answered them there please do so here again. I first got to know about Stephen when I heard Love Me for a Reason on the radio way back when Boyzone were just starting. So since about early '94 I suppose.

Have you seen Boyzone in concert and if so how many times?
Yes I saw most of their tours I think (missed a couple though :() Not sure how many times I saw them in total but I think I put 24 in the 'About Me' section of the site...

Did you see Stephen perform during any of his promotion for his solo album/singles?
Yes I saw him at a few roadshows and things, and was there with a few others I knew to show a bit of support for him.

Have you seen Stephen in Joseph?
Yes I've seen him in the show a few times. I first saw it on the opening night in Liverpool (couldn't go to Oxford for the first show unfortunately) and have seen it a few times in the West End too.

Have you ever met Stephen?
Yes.

Funniest Stephen moment you can think of:
Hmm I don't know why I put that 'cos I knew I'd never be able to answer it. There are quite a few funny moments - I can never think of them when asked though...

I'm a friend of Julia's and she told me about it.

How long have you liked Stephen/been a Stephen fan for?

Four years now. I first saw Stephen and Boyzone on TV here in the USA in March of 1999 when they aired the Andrew Lloyd Webber 50th Birthday Celebration. I saw that beautiful smile, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Have you seen Boyzone in concert and if so how many times?

Unfortunately, no. I wanted to go see them at the Point Depot in January 2000 but couldn't due to work commitments.

Did you see Stephen perform during any of his promotion for his solo album/singles?

Unfortunately, no.

Have you seen Stephen in Joseph?

Ahhh, at last, a question I can say YES to!! I have been VERY lucky to be able to go to Liverpool last Christmas and then to London in February and again in July. I have seen the show 18 times now with Stephen! Each performance was wonderful.

Have you ever met Stephen?

Thankfully, I can answer this YES too! What a perfectly charming and lovely person he is too. He is one of the nicest and most down to earth people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting too.

Funniest Stephen moment you can think of:

I guess this would have to be my most recent visit to London when some of us were standing outside the theatre before the Wednesday night performance and a man kept going by trying to sell us tickets to My Fair Lady! Stephen was obviously getting more and more annoyed and finally told him to "bugger off" or something to that effect.

Not much else to say really. I've led a rather dull life up until recently when I've traveled to England three times in six months! Hopefully, Stephen will continue to do more musical theatre in the future (hopefully here on Broadway) and I will be able to come back to see him again!

How long have you liked Stephen/been a Stephen fan for? I have always been a Stephen fan since his boyzone days, but I guess I really became a tru fan when he publicly came out and announced that he was gay. I thought that took a lot of guts and I have been hooked ever since. also, he is the most charming person you could ever wish to meet.

Have you seen Boyzone in concert and if so how many times? I have never had the pleasure.

Have you seen Stephen in Joseph? Have I. Three times in Liverpool and up to now 7 times in London.

Have you ever met Stephen? Yes I have been lucky to meet him on all the occassions that I have been down to London and have a couple of photos taken with hm.

Funniest Stephen moment you can think of: Too many too think of although one that does stick is my mind is every time he asks, "Are you coming to the show ansd why do you come so often?" As if he needs to task!!!

Other: I am very much into sports especially football, and I exercise about 4 times a week. Also like different types of musci but my main obseesion is of course Stephen.

I would just like to say Julia that the site is superb, full of information. Also great to meet you last weekend but you may not remember me. Keep up the good work.

How long have you liked Stephen / been a Stephen fan for? I fell in love with Boyzone when I saw the video for All That I Need in the spring of 1998. In fact, I hated the song in the beginning because I thought it was too slushy or something. Then I started liking it. I taped it and kept watching it over and over again.

Have you seen Boyzone in concert and if so how many times? Nope. Would have killed for a concert though.

How long have you been a stephen fan for?: Err...When i was 12 i loved him, but i respect him soo much! I fell in love with him when i saw him on ToTp performingfor the first time in 94.
