:magic: Christmas Cards Idea 2005

How does the 'buddy' system work?

Basically, once applications are closed, I will sort out the list of participants. I will then endeavour to match each participant with 2 other participants that are as geographically far away from each other as possible. In such cases when that is not possible, I will draw names randomly.

Once that process is completed, I will email every participant the names of their two 'buddies' and they MUST send a card to each of their buddies.

I will also attach an Excel spreadsheet with the details of every participant. You can find the addresses of your buddies there - and you're more than welcome to send cards to any other participants you wish. You do not have to send a card to every participant. It is your choice how many other people (besides your two 'buddies') you send cards to.

This does not mean that your buddy will send one back to you - they have buddies of their own, but two other participants will definitely have you as their buddies.

Lily, what should be included in the details? name, location, e-mail and what else?

Daphne-au & lj-girl - Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for not stating what details I need from the participants! :doh: I've edited my first post now, but basically all you need to do is email me your full name, address, forum ID and email.

Also, you're welcome to make your own Christmas cards (very special!) but most members just buy regular cards and decorate them in their own unique ways. :P

Oh and some even send gifts!! :hyper:

Which reminds me that I am determined to send gifts to all those lovely members who made my Christmas last year extra special. :hug:

Hello everyone!! :) Sorry about the extended delay. I've just sent emails to all of the participants with the names of their buddies and the complete list of participants and their addresses.

Although you are only required to send Christmas cards to your two buddies, it would be really nice if you could go that extra mile and send one to everyone on the list and spread the holiday cheer! :flower:

:D Sadhbh, I've just recieved yours!! The card is so cute! It was so cool to actually recieve personal mail, because lately my mail has all been from colleges. Yeah, I really doubt we'll get snow, but one can still hope right? ^_^ The kids at work liked it (the picture) too.
