Title: Formula One anyone?

ferreros_girl23 - March 6, 2005 06:30 AM (GMT)
The season has just begun in Melbourne, Australia. Great race, congrats to Giancarlo on a job well done n hopefully Kimi (although he did wel from last place to 8th) can do better next race in Malaysia. What do guys think of the new rule changes? Good or bad?

JCSam - March 6, 2005 09:04 AM (GMT)
Well, I don't like Ferrarri so in a way they are good, should make it more interesting. However, if they are so much better than everyone else then good for them and they don't deserve to be put at a disadvantage just because they are better! If that makes any sense....

The qualifying thing I think is quite good as now you have two chances to get pole and especially on tracks like Monte Carlo when you can't really overtake, it gives people another chance!

FELICIDADES FERNANDO ALONSO!

Sadhbh - March 6, 2005 12:27 PM (GMT)
I thought that the race was brill I was happy to see Schumacher out and the Red Bull team did excellent

smartie - March 6, 2005 04:14 PM (GMT)
I hope things are more interesting this year. It's got off to a good start with Schumacher not even finishing the race. :o That only seems to happen like once every 2 years or so. ;)

Again there used to be a thread about F1 here. ^_^

JC Fan UK - March 7, 2005 08:00 PM (GMT)
hopefully the rest of the season will continue to throw up surprises, I'd like Alonso to win it this year though I've had a major soft spot for jacques Villeneuve for 8 years now (showing my age now!) ever since 96 when he came into F1.

It's going to be interesting to see if the Mclarens can show the pace in the next race that they promised pre-season and in qualifying last weekend.

With Mclaren, Renault and hopefully Williams back up there this year it's got to be better than last season.

Sadhbh - March 20, 2005 09:09 AM (GMT)
did anyone see the race this morning it was brilliant its nice to see michael not doing so well although I am dissapointed that Kimi didn't get any points. The red bulls are doing very well at the moment I wonder where they will be at the end of the season.

juanqui.ferrero - March 20, 2005 09:29 AM (GMT)
Just saw some minutes... Alonso won !! Juanqui'll be happy ;)

Sadhbh - March 20, 2005 11:03 AM (GMT)
I know he drove a good race it was quite exciting I feel sorry for Trulli though because his friend died this week it must have been hard for him.

Christian - March 20, 2005 11:15 AM (GMT)
Jenson :shake:

Sadhbh - March 20, 2005 11:20 AM (GMT)
his engin failed which wasn't very good and Davidisons (who looks scarily like my cousin) engin blew up. most of the engins held together really well this weekend they have done a good job on them.

Beita - March 20, 2005 12:24 PM (GMT)
VIVA FERNANDO ALONSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, he won!!!!!!!!!!!!, an incredible race :D , he did it so so so well, he's so fast! and now he's leader of the world championship, the first spanish to be it!!!
FELICIDADES!!!!!!!!!!

juanquilover - March 20, 2005 06:09 PM (GMT)
wahooo for Alonso and how sexy did he look in the press conference
I think he'll do pretty well this year, im just waiting for the 2005 ferraris to come out then we'll know how everything stands this season.
I wonder if there's still any tixs for Silverstone...

Sadhbh - March 20, 2005 06:53 PM (GMT)
but they say that they are two seconds faster than the ones they have but they are well over two seconds slower than the Renaults and the Toyotas (who would have thought that at the beginning of the season)

JCSam - March 20, 2005 09:05 PM (GMT)
Ole Alonso!! Leader of the championship!!

What a great start to the championship, shame about Button tho...he is not too impressed with BAR!!

Christian - March 20, 2005 10:17 PM (GMT)
yeah, Jenson is screwing around.. would've been better when he would've been able to drive for Williams. am happy for Christijan (Albers) though :) he did a great job, finishing in a Minardi.. :P

Sadhbh - March 21, 2005 08:54 AM (GMT)
I would so love to see a minardi do well

ferreros_girl23 - March 21, 2005 02:05 PM (GMT)
where did raikkonen come? i didn't get to see the race...

Christian - March 21, 2005 02:12 PM (GMT)
Kimi's 9th. in lap 23 or so he suffered a high-speed tyre failure, and he had to drive a lap on three wheels, which cost him a lot of places.

Sadhbh - March 27, 2005 07:43 PM (GMT)
did you hear JPM hurt his shoulder playing tennis that's not god for McLaren it's good for Wurz if Monty doesn't race.

Sadhbh - March 27, 2005 07:44 PM (GMT)
sorry not Wurz it's De La Rosa cause Wurz is too big for the MP4-20

JCSam - March 30, 2005 09:15 PM (GMT)
Nice website sadhbh!!

Interesting to see thar Fernando Alonso lives in Oxford!! Not quite as exotic as Jenson or David Coulthard!!

Sadhbh - March 30, 2005 11:14 PM (GMT)
yeah I noticed that the drivers that lived in cold countries have moved to hotter ones and the ones who lived in hotter countries moved to cold ones.

Sadhbh - April 3, 2005 08:37 AM (GMT)
Fernando has pole stole it from that evil mr schumacher yay

juanquilover - April 3, 2005 10:25 AM (GMT)
wahoo, vamos Alonso!
oxford, not very far from me...

o dear lord, kimi lives in chigwell, thats like 5 MINUTES away from me

juanqui.ferrero - April 3, 2005 01:40 PM (GMT)
ALONSO WOOOOON !! ^_^

VIVA ESPANA !! Juanqui must be happy as he like F1 since Alonso is in ;)

juanquilover - April 3, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
oooh well done Alonso!
hope he wins the Championship this year!

Sadhbh - April 3, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
It was a brilliant race the McLarens seemed to have some amazing pace towards the end I could have spent the whole race watching De La Rosa he had such a good race especially as he hasn't raced for almost three years

JCSam - April 4, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, de la Rosa did really well, as did Alonso of course!!!

I couldn't help laughing when Schumi went off the track, considering he had the new car too!!! :D

Sadhbh - April 4, 2005 08:09 PM (GMT)
My uncle told me about that cause I had to leave theo house and I didn't believe him cause he is always teasing me about stuff like that. I had to wait and watch the vidio of it until I believed him

Beita - April 5, 2005 09:40 PM (GMT)
A bit late but....
 CONGRATULATIONS FERNANDO
you're in the right way to be the world champion!!!!
and, De la Rosa also did a great race, very exciting watch how he overtaked THREE CARS!!!!!!! I wish he can continue driving the car (soory for Montoya :o )

JCSam - April 24, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
And another win for Alonso... He is 26 points ahead of Schumacher :D

it was a good race though...wel the little bit that I saw considering the other distractions...JC's match, Leicester Tigers, Leicestershire in the cricket....!!!!

And the next one is Barcelona.....see if Fernando can get a win in front of his home crowd!

juanquilover - April 24, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
oooh i hope Fernando can wim at Barcelona, but what is going on with Kimi, i thought he'd good today.Oh and its cool Jenson's getting back on form

Christian - April 24, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
aww Jenson's 3th! :D *happy* hopefully he can claim his first victory soon..

Sadhbh - April 24, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
I would love Jenson to win a race this season sad little me almost cried when he got his first podium.
It was a fantastic race but I was sad that Kimi went out as he was my man.

ferreros_girl23 - April 25, 2005 03:22 AM (GMT)
yeh wtf happened to kimi :( ? He was like blistering the field, he was already like three and a half seconds ahead of Alonso after only like 5 laps and then he had to stop..was it a gear box problem?? Hopefully he has better luck in the next race...

Sadhbh - June 6, 2005 12:38 PM (GMT)
I am looking forward ot the one in Canada it is at tea time so that means I will be able to watch it live. who does everyone think is going to win?
I think and hope it will be Kimi Raikkonen I want him to catch up Fernando

JCSam - June 19, 2005 08:12 PM (GMT)
Gosh...what a farce today in Indianapolis...

18 points for Ferrari, but I don't know how they can feel good about themselves with that one two. Typical Ferrari isn't it...while didn't they accept the compromise of installing that chicane...I mean there is no point in risking MORE crashes.

I know Michael Schumacher obviously has to have a ruthless streak in him to be such a good driver but Ralf is his brother after all!! :o

Sadhbh - June 19, 2005 09:57 PM (GMT)
Watching that me and my sister couldn't stop laughing. Minardi and Jordan get a big pay day tho.
I had a heated discussion with my dad about if they should have run the cars or not. I don't think they should have with out new tyres I think the chicane would have been dangerous for the first few laps as nowbody would have known what way to drive it.
