Title: Want to complain? Fine, shoot me.

Go on. Complain about how bad the Forum is and how insensitive I am to issues that are never raised. Teach me how to read your minds and maybe we'll make the place much more enjoyable.

I have honestly no idea what all this "bad" content is, but if certain users are making it an issue on Lily's LiveJournal but not here, then what gives? Afraid perhaps? Do you honestly think that running to Lily's personal space is going to make things any better?

All of you agreed to the rules and guidelines when you signed up. If you have issues with the board, tell us. Don't start with the "Oh, the forum's so bad that I can't post on it" nonsense. I monitor board activity, I see nothing wrong with the forum. If users are seeing things differently, why don't you enlighten me with your obviously more-informed view?

Some of you have gone as far as implying that the forum should be closed. Excuse me? You have no idea how to do my job, but you're telling me what to do? If your house had two rats in it, do you tear down the whole house and move somewhere else?

Lily has done all of you a huge favor by giving you a place to gather and talk about whatever's on your mind, provided that they are within the forum guidelines. The least you could do is appreciate all the work that she's put in for you. If you want to see improvements, do what several other users have done in the past and ask. If you're not going to say anything, then there isn't any problem.

You are more than welcome to use the forum, but no one's forcing you to be here. If you think the forum has gone to hell and isn't worth posting on, by all means, you are welcome to leave.

If you really think you're a step ahead of us, make your own forum. We're not going to stop you.

But if all you're going to do is sit there, cry, refuse to tell us what's going on, then whinge about us not paying attention to your needs, then I honestly wouldn't give a damn about you.

Your move.

I didn't wait to read ur msg to know that I could leave this forum.
I only got one thing to say : you should feel lucky to have at least a couple of nice members coz there's the ones who make this forum a cool place to stay. I won't mention any name, you know who you are (stupid lol) girls.
Let's forget about all that stuff and let's rock on with JC !

Ummm Scott....none of this was an attack on you by any means?!! We aren't telling you what do to, nor how to do your job.

I thank Lily for everything she has done...she has created one of the most amazing sites I have seen and I thank her for that, and also, for this forum.

And no, I am far from afraid. If you would pay attention and read things clearly you would know that we haven't run to Lily's Live Journal to complain.

A forum is a place for people to gather and post their point of views. What we have "complained" about - is a difference of opinion. Of course in a place with many people from all over the world we can't all agree on the same thing and sometimes that is through misinterpretation, and perhaps langauge and 'age' barriers.

No offence...but I think you are blowing this out of proportion.

Liz:
As I'm not fully aware of your situation, you're not fully aware of mine.

I have a job to do. It was Lily's decision for me to continue that job and hers alone. This is probably a huge coincidence, or it could be a huge misunderstanding. Here's my side of the story:

There was a fairly interesting topic in the Locker Room. It got out of hand when it shot off on a typical tangent and started to violate the Guidelines. I removed the inappropriate messages and closed the topic, which was obviously not going to get anywhere but closer to violating the Guidelines outright.

One of the users, who I did absolutely nothing to, sent me a PM which I simply could not comprehend, but the tone of which implied a direct, personal attack on myself. This user posted a similar message on Lily's LiveJournal with the same tone and the same point. Lily herself was exasperated at the reaction.

I seem to be having arguments on two fronts: One is an apparent over-reaction to standard moderation procedures, and the other is a dislike of the quality of discussion.

I can see the point you're arguing, but I cannot see how it related to the original incident that seemed to spark off a huge wave of dissent.

juanqui.ferrero:
Oh, so I should feel lucky for having certain people populate Lily's forum?

I suppose a different person would say that you're lucky that someone like Lily is giving you what you want.

I'll be bluntly honest with you here: If you have a problem, do something about it. Don't go off on your own and sulk.

I am sorry, Scott, that it had to get to this. I do see your point and I will reply to your PM later :) But for now...I sleep!!
