OK, stupid question probably, right? But umm, how do I get a lil picture under my name? Do I have to like promote myself to "Fan" first or something? Because when I went to that section *forgot what it was*, it said, that it wasn't permitted by the administrator or something...

In My Controls, go to Edit Avatar Settings. My guess is that you clicked on Change Personal Photo instead.

Anyway, you can select from pre-installed avatars or upload your own.
