Title: Emoticons

With the recent trend of smiley overuse, the privilege of smileys is being questioned. Feel free to have your say in this issue.

I really like using smilies. :(
They help to express emotions and emphasize points without having to explain a lot in words.

Please don't abuse them, or you'll find your welcome to be very short lived.

I don't understand why you are so against smileys. I know you said they are anoying, but how? I HATE the ones that make noise when you mouse over them, those I can understand but these mostly just sit there.

I don't have anything against the use of smilies, but against the overuse of smilies. When you've seen the best and worst of emoticons, you'll know when enough is enough.

Ok. If you want to get rid of just the animated ones (except the ones where only the eyes move or the mad one) I'm all for it, but I like the others.

Are you saying that I'm abusing them now? I've only been using them as much as I normally do on boards; GameFAQs, ION, everywhere.
If it looks like I use too many, just tell me. Maybe taking them out of my sig will stop creating the appearance that I use a lot of them.
(Plus I think there's an 8-image limit per post anyways)

Nothing against you, but after the last incident I'm not keen on being loose on a new member.

What was the "last incident"?
