10 years that's a lot I agree but it's interesting I study immunology,virology,bacteriology...
It's great to try to learn other languages;how many foreign languages do you speak?Me I speak French,Arab,English and German (just a little I learned German at school and I didn't have a lot of memories!!!).
You must improve your French (I correct:je parle juste un petit peu francais) but it's comprehensible :P .@+

how lucky you are!! i'm interested in learning forign languages too....but in schools in china.....there's only english(and too much about the grammar i think...)...i have leant a little french outside school...that happened two years ago and i doubt if ican still remember some...you know, environment for speaking forign language is so....if possible, i can learn some little phrases in other languages from all of you....that must be fun....

and about how i admire that you have such rich ten years....

Jaxene - July 13, 2003 10:52 PM (GMT)
Hey everyone! I know that some of us already know who eachother is and all, but I thought maybe it'd be nice to just like say where we're from (I already noticed English, Portuguese and Dutch from the other forums ;) ), and like how old we are, and you know, what we like, yadda yadda? I don't know just seemed interesting, hehe...

So, me...I'm 15, and I lived in Costa Rica from the time I was 5 till I was 13, so I speak Spanish fluently. My brother is a struggling tennis player, and my dad's his coach, so my mom and I travel with them a lot...But believe it or not, I still haven't seen Juanqui! I've been to Wimbledon twice, and the French for a day, but still haven't spotted him *Sigh*.

I loooove to write! Anything, emails, stories, poems, songs, just have to be writing...I also love drawing, and all that...My second passion, besides tennis, is Lord of the Rings, I adore it! But enough said about that, hehe...

Anyway, I have to go hit before it gets dark! So I'm done...and feel free to just write whatever you want, to get to know eachother better :D

P.S. The faces are quite cute  <--'specially that one, heehee

Chao!
*Abrazos a todos!*

*sighs* I'm still a spectator...

Rachel - July 13, 2003 11:17 PM (GMT)
Hi Jaxene!

Cool idea!

I'm 20 (clearly should have better things to be doing with my time, shouldn't i? oh well. never mind :)), I'm from London, I've never done anything as exotic as living in Costa Rica and my Spanish is dodgy to say the least (pretty much fluent Italian though...which kind of means I understand a fair bit of Spanish...). I'm a student, starting my final year of my degree in October, eek, which means my finals might clash horribly with the French Open

I've been to Wimbledon three times (twice this year - saw JC play Lisnard in the first round, very cool, and the beginning of his match against Grosjean - and once for the final in 2001 when they moved it to the monday cos of the rain and sold all the tickets to the mad people who queued up overnight :)). I went to TMS Roma this year as well, which was great.

Um...other stuff...i'll watch just about any sport on TV except golf :) And I'm addicted to The Lord of the Rings as well...

Ciao for now

Rach

Jaxene - July 13, 2003 11:54 PM (GMT)
Oooh cool Rach! Oh and October...don't you mean the US Open? but even that's in September, isn't it? Ohhh I get it! never mind :P o.O Oh and I meant I had been to Wimbledon 2 different years...for the whole two weeks, hehe, it was fun, but anyway...What's your degree? (if I may ask :P) I've always wanted to study Marine Biology, and I've been looking for colleges lately...I'm sooo interested in going to NZ to study, that would be awesome B)...so yeah, hehe...My bro and dad are actually in Manchester now, playing the tournament there :D *Keeps fingers crossed*

OK then, it was a bad idea to go hitting now :P, it rained and thundered sooo hard! I'm sopped, gotta go change <_<

Chao for now!
*working my way up to ballkid* ;)

Rachel - July 14, 2003 12:12 AM (GMT)
Sorry...I didn't explain that too well, did i? my final year starts in October, but my finals (the actual scary exams) are at the end of May... My degree's Italian and French, by the way. Quite cool, but just *slightly* different from Marine Biology :)

I think being at Wimbledon for the whole two weeks would send me completely insane. Just one day there is enough to keep me grinning for a week

Mind you I should make the most of it while I can really. When I actually get, like, a proper job (scary thought), rather than being a lazy student, I don't think my employers are going to be too happy with "oh, sorry, i can't come to work today, i have to watch the tennis", are they??

Scottie_theNerd - July 14, 2003 01:03 AM (GMT)
Scottie of the Silent Wind, Rider of the Storm, Master of Fate and by Fate mastered.

Quite a mouthful, but fitting nonetheless.

My history's been quite turbulent, but concentrating on the more positive things, I'm a nerd. And proud of it ^_^

Studying from an early age, my main area is History and Geography, followed by Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Psychology and Philosophy. Recently I've realised I'm VERY proficient in English Composition, as well as Poetry. I also have a knack for Computer studies, not the best, but everyone tends to turn to me for some reason <_<

As Lily pointed out, I'm not a JC fan. I'm more of the 'behind-the-scenes' guy who sets things up and doesn't take part in them. Feel free to throw stuff at me. Preferbally not rocks or chairs. Pens are ok. Money is good :P

I like iced coffee.

I hate tea. Unless it's lemon tea.

I type a 100 words a minute.

My age? Well, that's anyone's guess ^_^

Claire125 - July 14, 2003 06:04 PM (GMT)
Hello Everyone,

My name is Claire, I'm from the US, and I'm 22 years old. I finished my studies in Economics and History at University and will be attending law school this fall.

Ferrero has been my favorite male tennis player for a few years now, and I didn't realize he had such a wide fan base--I think it's because tennis is less popular in the states. Plus, ESPN or NBC or whomever airs tennis only show the majors and tend to televise Americans *sigh* So, I'm very happy to be able to talk to others from around the world who are just as obsessed with JC as I am :)

Other stuff...I only know a little bit of French and my favorite sport is downhill skiing and I'm really into the Final Fantasy series and anime.

Liz - July 15, 2003 08:56 AM (GMT)
Hellooo

I'm Liz and I'm from Australia. Melbourne to be exact. Im 17 and am In my last year of high school.

I have been a JC fan for a bit over a year now I think?! LOL - Kinda hard to say when I actually started following him. Along with JC my favourite players are Paul Henri Mathieu, Richard Gasquet, Marat Safin, Carlos Moya, Mario Ancic, James Blake, Guillermo Coria and Rafael Nadal. I am also really into junior tennis, Jo Wilfried Tsonga and Mathieu Montcourt in particular. Remember those names. They will be big one day! :P

Dancing and basketball are pretty much my life. I am a fan of PSG and Valencia FC and I would love nothing more than to become Paul Henri's masseuse :D

I think that pretty much sums me up.....

*Hugs!!*

Rachel - July 21, 2003 05:23 PM (GMT)
I love learning languages...I'm doing a degree in Italian (well, supposedly Italian and French, but my French lecturer last year n'était pas très sympa :P so I'm just doing Italian now, really) so I'm pretty much fluent in that. That's about it though. I know some German, I understand some Spanish, I know very little bits of random languages like Turkish, Russian and Basque.

And the Elvish thing, yeah, I've downloaded a Quenya course. Worrying but true. :P

Alex - July 21, 2003 09:47 PM (GMT)

Oh cool! ^.^ lol, well, see I even understood what you said there, heehee...Cuz isn't portuguese really similar to spanish, and sort of mixed with French? But I mean, since that's not one of the languages that I've started to learn, how would you help me? I mean I always love learning any language :D
Sooo, whatever you want to help me with ;)
