Well - his draw isn't very good. He has a bye in the first round and he'll play mayer in the 2nd. And if he wins he might play Youzhny.
marilyn - March 10, 2007 08:22 AM (GMT)
well, we'll just have to go round by round :D c'mon Juan Carlos!

Mayer is playing good ,but Ferrero can do it :)
marilyn - March 11, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)

VAMOS :D He did it :D The match started out badly with 0-40 ,but it was a cruise afterwards :) Acasuso upset Youzhny ,but I'm sure that Ferrero can beat him!
marilyn - March 13, 2007 03:54 AM (GMT)
awesome, he's in the round of 16!
4-6, 7-6, 6-4 :D scared me at first because I watching livescores, but I'm glad he came back.
c'mon JC!

What a great win!!!!!! :D
ferrerofan_laurie - March 13, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
now he faces nadal, I really hope he can beat him that would be great :P :D
Sadhbh - March 14, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
He didn't beat Nadal, but still he seems to be playing alot better than he was last year. He seems alot more consistant, it was Nadal he lost to and not some random from far down the rankings.
fingers crossed this is the beginning of a good season.

Man, the match against Nadal was brutal! JCF looked slow, very unreactive, and just could not position himself to even play good defense against Nadal's strokes. I bet JCF thought things would be a little easier bc of his win against Rafa in Cincy but Nadal has really improved his overall game, esp his slice.
I'm not that worried though. I've seen Federer beat Nalbandian and Roddick worse than the thrashing JCF was given...man.

It was a horrible match to watch but I thikn this tournament was good for him overall. He's definitely getting a little more consistent
marilyn - March 15, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
yes, I agree and I'm glad he's been more consistent so far in the the season.

Well, don't feel too bad now. Nadal also destroyed Roddick, and beat the Djokovic for the IW title.

I know I haven't been around much, but
THIS is a very long write up I did about my Saturday at Indian Wells. It will remain open to the public for two (2) weeks, after that I will make it friends only. If anyone is interested, I have one for Friday as well. It's a link to my livejournal, so if anyone has one feel free to add me.
