Title: Snow
Description: ^_^
Sauce - January 23, 2003 01:51 PM (GMT)
You GOTTA love this stuff. We hardly EVER get it here in Georgia...there were no warnings about it whatsoever and poof, this morning I get up and get half-ready to look out the window and realise there's an inch or more of snow on the ground. And there's a good chance it's gonna snow more and we'll be out again tomorrow--which makes for my 2nd 4-day weekend in a row!!
Let it snow. ::YEAAA::

CoreMaster - February 8, 2003 07:20 PM (GMT)
Heh, I live in Canada and there's some snow on the ground right now, in fact we had freezing rain a few days ago.
Kitsu - February 9, 2003 07:15 AM (GMT)
Whoo! More Canadians. Anyway, snow is good. Snowball fights. ^_^ Too bad we NEVER get snowdays...
iggy - February 14, 2003 03:20 AM (GMT)
I was lucky to get even one snowday in a whole winter during highschool. Being a Canadian makes us all very resistant to snow-days, even if there's a foot of unexpected snow on the ground.
Otherwise, if we did get snow days I really enjoyed learning that I don't have to go to school just after waking up for school. Such a great feeling!
Bijou - February 14, 2003 12:12 PM (GMT)
I love snow so much! It's so prettyful! And at night the moon and stars are so easy to see and it's so pretty! One time my friend Trav was over and he looked out the window and said it was snowing and I saw and I'm like "O_O Oh my good goody gosh!!! SNOW!!!!" and I ran outside and started rollling on the snow covered sidewalk and then I came back in and my friend was like "Ok then... It's just snow... Chill..." and we have so much snow this year I am just a happy lil duck ^^

Here in Colorado we havn't gotten very much snow untill thiss past month. Ever since February started, we've benn getting a bunch of snow. But we never get snow days because they're stupid. But we havn't gotten as much snow as we usually get, even last year too. To reach the average snowfall for this year we have to get like 8 feet of snow!
seventhson - March 28, 2003 05:19 AM (GMT)
Those silly southern people, call off everything for an inch of snow.
Sounds wierd to me and i'm only in upstate NY.
We are probably not as used to it as the Canadians, eh.
CoreMaster - March 28, 2003 08:23 PM (GMT)
You have no idea of what goes on up here in Canada do you?
Quixotic Muffin - March 28, 2003 09:11 PM (GMT)
I know I know!!!!!You get naked and dance around bonfires in the snow chanting ritualistically, and worshipping the mighty maple leaf.

Vash - March 28, 2003 10:43 PM (GMT)
I wish I could go outside and play in snow. I have neve played in snow my entire life. I wanted to do it before I was old to. Looks like that is not going to happen. :(

...Tell me about it. It seems that all Americans think they know everything about Canada, when really they know nothing.
Lila - March 29, 2003 03:57 AM (GMT)
That's because America is....yeah....
Vash - March 29, 2003 06:03 AM (GMT)
Not all americans are complete idiots and think they know everything. There ae a handful of nice ones out there yo just got to look
Lila - March 29, 2003 06:39 AM (GMT)
I know THAT but....*shudder* Shrub....
Kitsu - March 29, 2003 06:56 AM (GMT)
Lila - March 29, 2003 07:10 AM (GMT)
Me too. I hope he gets impeached...then blown up. Along with Bill Gates.
Quixotic Muffin - March 29, 2003 03:39 PM (GMT)
I thought it was fairly obvious I was joking... sheesh, I don't assume anything about your culture that I don't know. Way to take everything personally. o.0 How do you expect to live your lives happily if you get that upset over obvious facetiousness?
I don't get upset when people make silly comments on Americans, so wtf?? Obviously you think you have some kind of superiority, and you DON'T because we're equals, but it just became an american slamming topic from a freaking jape.
Lila - March 29, 2003 06:35 PM (GMT)
YARK!!!!! I thought it was funny when that one guy called Shrub The Junior Bush. That made him sound even more like a shrub!
Quixotic Muffin - March 29, 2003 07:29 PM (GMT)
I don't support any of president shrub's actions, but I'm not against him for them.
Some people say that this war is like vietnam, but it's NOT. There is EVIDENCE that 9/11 is tied to Sadam Houssain. This, not to mention that Sadam almost Definitely has weapons- illegally- AND biochemical warfare. He's killing his own people, and he knows he's going down - so he's really dangerous because the way he sees it he might as well take everyone down with him!
So this war is not without real reason, unlike vietnam, since they DID innitially attack us, AND they have P.O.W.'s of ours.
Some people say that this war is because the government is trying to get Iraq's oil. If that was so, they wouldn't have set the oil field on fire during warfare. They also would've, after they obtained control of the one place where a lot of the oil is (I forget the name) would've stopped and just sat on it. But NO - While they're dropping weapons down to the soldiers- they're also dropping food down to the citizens in iraq to help them survive - because at least OUR president cares more about them than THEIR leader does. And to prove that sadam sucks - A bunch of the iraqi citizens have even taken up arms against him since this war began. Also, it's my understanding that Iraq has less than 5% of the world's oil. If we really were in this for oil, we'd just take over Venezuela.
I'm all about peace, and I really think that prez shrub is too. In a press conference with his speech writer, the speech writer said,
"I had written in the speech - I'm happy to be here today- but president bush told me to take it out because he would NOT be happy to declare war, and he didn't want to say something he didn't mean."
I get two things out of that:
A.He doesn't WANT war, but he's been pushed to the point where it's just about necessary. He's currently in the position where he's father of our country. It's a fathers job to protect his children by all means necessary. He's condemned if he does, condemned if he doesn't.
B. He's an honest man. He's impeccable with his word. He's doing what he thinks is right, whether it is or not, who are WE to bash him??
And how can we be so synical in this time of war. PEOPLE ARE FREAKING DYING FOR YOU RIGHT NOW, and WE HAVE THE NERVE TO PIT OURSELVES AGAINST THEM BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN PEACE?! WE'RE FIGHTING FOR PEACE
Once again, I don't agree with violence of any kind. But I also understand that not everyone shares the love fore the world that I do, and we ALL have to accept that people don't all have our same convictions.
Lastly, for those of you who are americans: Where's your support? The only thing people have to lean on right now is eachother, and being angry at the prez only spreads hatred and violence. Think about it this way - we are the ONLY country who has EVER existed that helps a country get back on it's feet after fighting a war with them. We are the ONLY country that has ever existed that fights for other's freedom/liberation. And yet we have the nerve it put down shrub... Perhaps the only way he sees OUT of this violence is violence.
*Note: I'm really sick of ignorant people who think they know more than everyone else because they like peace. There are only a handful of sick people who DON't want peace.*
Sauce - March 29, 2003 08:00 PM (GMT)
...My God. You guys are all tools.
I make a topic about snow days. And you...
First off, Kitsu, WHAT THE HELL?! Seventh JUST SAID THAT HE EXPERIENCED A LOT OF SNOW, BUT DIDN'T LIVE FAR ENOGH NORTH ON THE MAP TO BE THAT USED TO IT. And you tell him to "GO DIE" because of it. UGH. You don't need a chill pill, you need to down about 5 damn gallons of "CALM THE F*CK DOWN" juice.
Core, if you couldn't sense the obvious jokingness of the post, .....I won't even say....
Kristen, don't waste your time. Chances are that 99.9% of the people won't even read your post and will either say 'U R A GHEY BUSH luvR' or 'LOLOLZ SPAMMMMM'.
Lila, bush might not be the perfect president when compared to others, but I'm here to tell you that the man has more education than everyone here put together has and possibly will ever have. He can run the country better than you, or I, or anyone else but perhaps Presidents of the past or strong congressmen that never ran. And a good quote for people like you:
"People always want to change the world, but they never want to change themselves."
Lila - March 29, 2003 08:06 PM (GMT)
I want to change the world?
Quixotic Muffin - March 29, 2003 08:09 PM (GMT)
Yes, you want peace, and a peaceful government, isnt that right?
