I love Mario and I have just about beaten Super Mario Sunshine. I will offer advice cheats or hints for anyone who needs it. Also if you guys have tips for the game your welcome to post them here for others. This is a non official thing. So anyone who needs help just post here and I'll reply as soon as possible. ;)

i enjoyed playing this game. i almost collected all of the sprites. is it worth it to collect them all?

I rented this game one time. It's a good game and all but I can't Stand those warp zone levels. gah

Coremaster: There really is no signifigance to colecting all of the Shine sprites but after you battle shadow Mario successfully in every episode then the final level will open up and you can go and defeat Bowser and Bowser jr. I suggest collecting them all if you want to make the game last.

Vash: There are no warpzone levels unless you're refering to the obstacle courses. Those you find in certain episodes or in Delfino Plaza after certain events and some are available anytime. There is a hidden obstacle course under the bridge with the coin under it. Hop a ship and when the ship passes under that bridge, Hover up and you can grab the coin on the way.
If your talking about the sewers,You just ground pound the lids.
