As you would remember, I was a student aide last year for first year of this class. It was a honor to be involved and a dream to be doing it for a second year, this time with professor status. So about me...

My name is Darlene Baker, a hufflepuff graduate of Hogwarts. My studies consisted mainly of magical creatures and my hobbies included writing for the house newspaper. After being given a great oppurtunity as a student aide, I discovered my true joy in life, bringing the magic of literature to wizards and muggles alike.

I have a cat named Dravek who will be around to take any messages you might have for me. Owls are great for long distance correspondence but a good trained cat can deliver messages quickly within the castle. On holiday I stay with a family friend who studies dragons while I tag along with a suitcase full of books.

In real-life I go by the name Shanna as reside in the southern United States. I'm eighteen years old and in my freshmen year of college. My plans for a major right now are professional writing with hopes of working for a publishing company or starting my own bookstore. My family has two dogs and I have a pet bird named Jade. I love musical acts such as matchbox twenty, Jason Mraz, and Josh Groban. My favorite tv shows are Gilmore Girls, Smallville, and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. As for movies I have eclectic tastes chosing musicals (Singin' in the Rain, King and I), foreign films (Lagaan), miniseries (10th Kingdom), and smart comedies (Dogma). Recently I began training for the MS 150 bike tour in support of my uncle who is in a wheelchair because of the disease. But I'm also still writing and reading as much as I can. My favorite authors are Orson Scott Card, Douglas Adams, Stephen King, and of course, JK Rowling.

Hello again! It's great to be back in class, Im really looking forward to my second year of HP Book Analysis! As you may remember, my name is Nina Messersmith, I am 17 years of age and I live in MD, USA. I am currently in my third year and I belong to the lovely Gryffidnor house!

I have one owl named Taff. I am a pure blood. My mother was from the US and my father was from Geramny, so I have a pretty good mix in me. I have a younger sibling named Jeremy who also attends HOL. He is a second year slytherin.

In my spare time I like to play my violin. I am currently playing in a pit orchestra for the production of "Annie." I've also performed at the Kennedy center and can be found performing with many other local orchestras. I began playing 2 years ago, after a long life of playing Clarinet for either years. I fianlly gave up the clarinet persuing my dream of playing the violin :)

This is my last year of muggle school, finally a senior, I am looking forward to graduating from muggle high school and heading into college, where I look to major in music.

I wish you the best of luck in college Prof. Baker, it sounds like you are very excited and set to go! Who knows, maybe one day your books will be sitting next to J.K. Rowlings on the top selling list! Wouldn't that be awsome? :D

I was in HP Book Analysis 1 last year under the student name of Pumpkin Red. This year I'm a professor and teaching Pop Culture.

I live in the Southern USA, have three cats, a lovely and wonderful roomate with whom I've been friends with for over 15 years.

I have a B. A. in English Communications and Theatre and a thorough love of Harry Potter.

My name is Mirabella Nevlómë and I'm a second year Gryffindor. Besides this class, I am also taking Thoth's Gardens and waiting for confirmation on two others. After having such a great time with HP BA 1, I just had to take part 2. I also work on the Spell Binder as a News Editor.

In real-life I am a 21 year old history major, with a possible minor in art. I am a junior and will be going into grad school in about a year. I live and go to school in the North Texas area. That aside, I love to read anything and everything, am multi-lingual, and love to travel.

im belle black, a third year hufflepuff. i am the official trouble maker in hufflepuff but i promise to try and be on my best behavior here- unless of course felicia is in this class and then it mite be a problem. i was recently named a prefect (dont know how! since i cause chaos! maybe that was fumbly's plan- to keep me under control) anyway, i am taking a total of 5 classes this year- something ive never done before! hopefully i wont fail!

in real life, im a teacher. i got my students hooked on the harry potter series and actually used alot of information from book analysis one in my classroom- im hoping to do the same again!

Hello everyone. I'm Hari [Granger], formerly Angharad Granger. Some of you probably know me from IRC, where I have always been Hari, ever since first getting on CGI. I took HPBA 1 last year and enjoyed it, so I decided to take HPBA 2 this year. I'm also taking Advanced Arithmancy, Veela Language 1, House Elves 101, and hopefully SoAM 2, as SoAM was my favourite class last year. I'm a ickle baby prefect of Ravenclaw :)

In HOL-land, I'm half Veela, half wizard. My cousin on my mother's side is Professor Wynter Lao Blackbird. I have a cat named Midnight, and an owl named Hackberry. In RL, I'm a fourteen-year-old girl residing in Texas. I have seven younger siblings. I do judo, and I have done aikido and jiu jitsu. The oldest of my siblings is on HOL under the name of Fiona Granger, and my dad is also a member, under the name Lucius Lockhart. I've loved reading ever since I was four years old, if not before that. I don't remember learning how to read! *g* I'm lucky enough to have been homeschooled all my life, and during that time my mom has tried many different methods of teaching. Right now I'm enjoying it the most that I ever have. :)

I'm either crazy, very extroverted, friendly, and a total chatterbox(on IRC mostly, sometimes in RL *g*), or I'm being quiet and reading a book, or doing my chores, or whatever. I'm much more extroverted online than I am in RL. Some people have said that I'm a very happy person, and that I'm very innocent. They also say I'm too modest. I think that I'm annoying and that I talk too much. *g*

She stops and moves her dark sunglasses to the top of her head and looks around the classroom. She smiles when she spots belle. Felicia walks down the aisle to her friend. She stands behind belle as she tells the others about herself. After hearing her name, Felicia fakes a little cough causing belle to turn around*

"Me? A trouble maker? I too am a Prefect, how can I be a trouble maker?" Felicia responds with a smile. "belle and I have so much in common..... I'm a Third Year who is also taking 5 classes. She maybe the Official Trouble Maker in Hufflepuff, but I'm the Official HuffleFlirt." she says as she shows everyone her badge.

In RL.. I'm a teacher who also got her students hooked on Harry...... and I shared much information about the HPBA1 class with them.

I'm Henriëtte-Hocus-Pocus. This is, just like last year, my only class, and I'm happy that I passed it! So now I'm in second year :D
I live in Holland (the Netherlands), in a not very big, you can cal it small, town, Heerenveen. Maybe you know it, because there are every year iceskating-games. In the famous Thialff-stadion!
But anyway, I'm 15, allmost 16, and I'm in the fitfth class of the atheneum, I hope anynow knows it...
By the way, Holland is the country where druggs are "legal", you know, and we have tullips and mills.
I like track&field! I do it for than 10 years now. I also like books, of course,! Harry Potter, and more more more! :D

If you don't know me already *which I hope you do* my name is *points to her name on your left.* You may remember me with the 'Katsumi' in the middle but I got it removed from the register. Those extra seven letters can give you a hand cramp even before you start the essay!
Anyway I took HPBA last year (obviously) and decided to take the second half because if I didn't I'd probably regret it. :P I'm also taking Transfiguration (unconfirmed), SoAM (also unconfirmed), Thoth's Gardens and Duelling. *hugz her favourite proffie*

On HOL, I'm muggle-born but on my mum's a direct descendant of a Numenorian so that might be where my magic's from. I have a falcon named Mercury and a knarl named Jemima. And an otter named Nenloth. :P I reside in Gryffindor as one of the newer prefects.

RL I'm a 17 year old Korean senior in high school. I have a younger sister and I do a lot of work at home. I live in Southern Ontario and has survived SARS, West Nile, SARS again, Mad Cow and the Great Blackout! ^^ I'm a fantasy addict and a LOTR fanatic!

Hi everyone! *waves to Nicky* Heya! We get to sit next to each other in yet another class! I'm amazed! A little bit about me I guess.

HOL:
Classes I take:
HPBA2 (duh)
Intro to Poetry (nice refresher since my school doesn't focus on poetry much)
Dueling
History of Alchemy
waiting for confirmation in PoA Dissection (my favorite hp book, I couldn't pass it up)

Other Activities:
I teach Arithmancy and Advanced Arithmancy (the only other class that had a prerequisite)
I am the Music Editor for TSB
Other than that, I'm around a lot lol

RL:
-I'm a 17-year-old who lives in Seattle, a.k.a. the Land O' Coffee (I actually had a caffeinated lolipop earlier today)
-I consume entirely too much caffeine, but my average of 4 hours of sleep sort of explains the necessity
-I am part of a program called IB (similar to AP for those of you who take those classes, except very different... makes sense I know) either way it's an accelerated study program that's a comprehensive program, so I take ALL of my classes IB instead of just a course or two. This means I have nice amounts of homework, but I have awesome material for lessons! Go figure!
-I organize fundraising for Land Mine Removal at my school along with Kelda Maxwell, a second-year Hufflepuff. (wow I sound like I'm filling out a college application now or something--what I've been working on lately--so I'm going to stop after my one other major commitment)
-I spend about 10 hours a week or so planning events and such because I'm on the leadership team for my youth group

I am a bit of a Math freak, but that's part of the reason I like literary analysis: it's the logical part of literature. Hard to explain, but if you understand, THANK YOU lol at least someone does.

I'm done talking now, I'm going to go sit next to Nicky and show her where the buttons on her calculator are now. Thank you :)

Hey everyone. I am very happy to be back. My name is Briana Edwards and I am a second year Hufflepuff. (Go Badgers!) If you ever see my white cat, Tuna, around, he'll be your friend for life if you give him his favorite food. (Betcha can't guess what it is! :rolleyes: )

I am a half-blood (Mom's a witch, Dad's muggle born), but I've been raised around magical people my whole life.

This year, I am taking: HP Book Analysis 2 (obviously), Pop Culture, and Wandmaking. I plan on picking up another half year class when Wandmaking is over.


In RL, I am a 26-year-old fanatic of HP. I am a first grade teacher in the great state of Alabama. As far as my likes/loves, they include: HP, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reading, cross stitching and needlepointing, and children (when they behave). I never sleep enough (the life of a teacher: not a 8-3 job!!!!!!). I love to eat Chinese food. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education 3 years ago and have been teaching ever since.
