Somewhat recently ago ther was a great hour long television feature over this book. I immediatley went out and baught the DVD version. Later at a garage sale I found the original book by Michael Chrighton and had to read it.

The book is about an orginism from outerspace that threatens to wipe out the human race. It is extremely leathel and causes you to do one of three things, kill yourself, kill other people, or die instantly. it stumps the experts and the book is about how they attempt to solve the new-born crisis.

I would definatley to any avid sci-fi reader. this is the one time I probably liked the movie better although they are both great. it is just that the movie has a special twist added at the end. :ph43r:
