This is a convoluted SF novel, although once you get the hang of the plot switching between reality (it's a futuristic one) and the "Metaverse" (a tech hacker's paradise), then it's a bit easier to follow. The character's names are supposed to be humorous and represent their roles, and I did laugh at some of the situations although, for the most part, things are grim. I loved the mechanical doggie, Fido, however. Definitely for the adolescent and older reader! Prof. Opal
