Anybody out there ever had to go to a doctor requested by Social Security Determination Center? I have to see on next week and wondered if anybody had any tips or advice.

Exam is tomorrow - Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 1:30 pm. Thank goodness hubby is going with me. I have all my ducks (paperwork) in a row if he will even take the time to look at them. :(

I thought the exam went real well but got letter in the mail yesterday that I was denied disability.
I had my cervical fusion at C5-C6 with a plate and screws and the new neurosurgeon stated that my fusion at C6-C6 (5/2/05) was healing, but slow, so he put a plate in their to hold it as the other neurosurgeon did not. He also told my husband that C7-T1 did not look good and possible surgery needed there. I have a cervical bone stimulator I have to wear 3 hours a day to help fuse the two.
Neurosurgeon's office called me yesterday and he wants an MRI of my lumbar area as my left foot stays numb. Told them it would have to wait until 2006 along with follow up after surgery as we had new insurance kick in 12/01/05 and I'm not paying deductibles for one month and again the next month. I'm sure surgery is in the future in my lumbar area.
Getting tired of docs, tests and surgeries LOL!

Yikes Claudia. Looks like you stay on the prayer list for awhile here. I wnet through a lot of this with my Dad. He has degenerative disc disease and has had 7 or 8 operations. They have told him no more operations and he has to live with things now.
