Title: We're going to be grandparents! :)
cats - July 2, 2003 05:52 AM (GMT)
Hi All,
Well, it's been a long two weeks, as Harley and I were sworn to secrecy, but today we are able to shout it out on the rooftops - Scott and Stacy are pregnant!!! :)
We actually found out on Fathers Day - Scott and Stacy had given Harley a coffee mug, and when he picked it up, it said #1 Grandpa!
We are absolutely thrilled, for them and for us and all of our family.
They had just found out she was pregnant shortly after their wedding reception, and by that time she was already two months along. However, they both wanted to hold off on telling everyone until after the first trimester was over and after their second Dr. apt., which was today!
They called us from their car after the Dr. apt. and said everything is just fine - all the blood work came out great, and they were both able to hear the baby's heartbeat! What a thrill for them! :) I'm just so happy for them.
Her due date is January 8th, but of course that may change, depending on when the baby decides to make his/her appearance. They both are hoping for a little girl, and I'm hoping for the same. But whatever the baby is, boy or girl, he/she will have plenty of love and tons of relatives and grandparents to be around the baby.
The one thing that is critical for me now, is that I have to get my knee surgery done by November - NO LATER! The one surgeon that I really wanted is booked up until March of 2004! So, tomorrow I will call my Otho again and ask him who, what his schedule is and when can I do the damn surgery!
Anyway, I just had to share this news with all of you. It's been a good ending of my day. :)
Lots of love and hugs,
Cats

My third new grandbaby in Georgia is aprox.10and1/2inches long and weighs about a pound. On baby.com you can type in the due date and follow the growth of the fetus. A fun thing to do. OUR little grandchild is due on November 14. I am so excited but I must get cracking on a gift. I am planning a crib quilt.
Grand kids are so wonderful. They alone can make growing old a joy.
My little grand daughter and my daughter got on a speaker phone and sung the birthday song. They hooted and yelled after the song. The little sweetie was trying to emulate what she had heard grown ups talking about and she said, Grandma I am so happy you made it to 60 and you are not dead. It was so innocent and so cute. I laughed out loud.
