Proverbs 3:3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

As children of God, we can always expect Him to love us no matter what. Our Father in Heaven will always love us and He will always be faithful to us. We may falter in many ways and our lives may not be what we want them to be, but God will always be there for us. We know He has love and faithfulness bound around His neck and He also has them written on the tablet of His heart. Else, how was He able to provide for the redemption of man.

Ge 37:23, 28 - And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him. Then there passed by Midianite merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

Joseph's brothers were not to interested in showing much love and faithfulness to Joseph. They were very jealous of him and his relationship with their father. Israel loved Joseph very much. He was a son of promise. Israel's wife was barren and could bare no children, so Joseph's brothers had different mothers. The Lord promised Israel that Rachel would have a son, but she was beyond child baring years. Israel held the Lord to His promise and Rachel had a son, Joseph, and Israel showed him more favor that anyone else. No wonder his brothers acted the way they did.

God loves us and cares for us. He wants us to have love and faithfulness. He wants us to bind them around our necks and to write them on the tablet of our hearts. Don't let the attitude of Joseph's brothers affect the way you love others.

Heavenly Father, help me to keep love and faithfulness in my heart for all people. In Jesus name, Amen.
