Title: Michael Jackson Verdict

While I was at the gym this afternoon, I walked into the lounge area where the TV was on and the verdict for Michael Jackson was about to be read. I found it interesting that the few people gathered around the TV did a quick survey to see what we thought the verdict would be. Everyone except me said that he would be found not guilty on some counts and guilty on others. Personally, I said it wouldn't surprise me if he was found not guilty on all counts. This isn't because I think he isn't guilty, but I'm under the impression that justice in our nation is swayed by fame and fortune. What do you think?

So, what was the verdict? All I heard was that it was supposed to be read at 1:30 Pacific Time but was postponed until 1:45. Didn't give it another thought but am curious, now that I think about it.

He was found not guilty on all 10 charges. Dick felt that with enough money, justice is never served. I think he is truly Wacko Jacko and so is the public for adoring him.

What do we believe? I guess I will believe the verdict. The news interviewed the prosecutor. It was a 10 year investigation. It is now officially over and settled.

Interesting AP news quote.

Jurors may have acquitted Jackson of all charges of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor, but not all of them were convinced the King of Pop had never molested a child.
"He's just not guilty of the crimes he's been charged with," said Ray Hultman, who told The Associated Press he was one of three people on the 12-person panel who voted to acquit only after the other nine persuaded them there was reasonable doubt about the entertainer's guilt in this particular case. |
