Sweeter Tasting Cantaloupe
For sweeter tasting cantaloupe, sprinkle with a pinch of salt
after slicing.. It brings out the natural sweetness more than
adding sugar and the extra calories.

I don't eat cantelope, but Daryl does. Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to pass it along to him.

I just recently complained about Aldi's cantaloupes. I will try this and comment.

Cool tip! I'll have to try on the cantaloup I just bought.
Candy, I have about given up on buying produce at Aldi......yes, it is cheap but the quality has been VERY disappointing. Especially the fruit. <_<
I haven't had too much problem with their veggies, but I find the quality is better at the other supermarkets. I just wait for good sales.

I have found that the fresh foods at Aldi's just isn't any good...most of the time. For me it's easier to buy boxed/canned items, milk, cheese, and meats there. And then to buy veggies and fruits at the grocery store. I dont' always go to Aldi's. It's out of the way for me to go there, so I only go once in awhile, but I seem to be able to buy more for my money.

I agree with the produce not being top quality at Aldi's. And it spoils fast. The price is always right, but I don't buy it anymore unless it is something I am really out of and will use right away. I too have to go out of my way to Aldi's, maybe once a month or so, and I do pick up the majority of my canned goods there.
