Many of us with eating disorders or weight gain try to starve off calories by skipping meals. This does not work in the long run and will certainly only cause more problems down the road. Eating most of your calories early in the day not only increases your metabolic rate but also gives you the rest of the day to burn those calories off. Studies have proven that most overweight people consume 60 to 75 percent of their calories at night, when the body's metabolism begins to slow down. Start each day with food, and wind down as the day progresses as you see that you are satisfied and full. Do not fall into the trap of late night snacking. It is not your body that wants it or needs it. Prayer: Heavenly Father, it is true that once I begin eating I want to continue. Bless me with a good meal early in the day where I will not want to continue to stuff my stomach at every turn of the day. Teach me, Lord how to eat well and be satisfied. Amen
