Title: Daily Gratitude For Life's Simple Pleasures

Today I am grateful that a friend gave Dick tomatoes from his garden. Not only is this late in season because we haven't had a frost yet, these tasted divine and juicy. So much better than store bought and the price is right!

Today I am grateful for self threading needles. I rarely sew something, but I had a pair of pants I wanted to save. I tried and tried to thread a large needle and just couldn't see well enough to maneuver it. I remembered somewhere I had self threading needles. It took a little bit to find it, but first try--wallah! What a great simple invention.

Simple pleasures of life -- tomatoes and self threading needles -- how wonderful!

I am grateful for family -- my two brothers and their wives visited yesterday!

The value of family--only taught by our parents. It does not seem to apply in today's mobile and extended family. Praise God we learned what we live!

Today I am grateful for an Internet search that has provided me with the best gravy I have ever made and in time for Thanksgiving day. Getting City Fried chicken on sale, and wanted to simmer it instead of fry it, I found just one recipe this way. It included a gravy which as a bonus turmed out to be the best I have ever made. No more lumps and gravy too thin! And scrumptious!

Today I am grateful that this Fall promises us one more great weather day. I am taking the time to sit out on the Deck counting my blessings.
