
Most people lose a combination of muscle and fat when losing weight. Crash diets produce loss of water and muscle weight. The more you starve to lose weight, the greater your body eats it's muscles for energy. That's why diets that are too low in calorie are not good. Starving yourself to lose weight not only shuts down your metabolism, but it also attacks muscle instead of fat. It will be extremely impossible to lose weight as your body goes into starvation mode to hang onto each calorie. A moderate diet is always best. Prayer: Father God, You have given me the Holy Spirit for discernment and a good dose of common sense. Help me to choose wisely how I will diet and grant me a grateful spirit for sensible weight loss. Amen
