Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
How important these two passages about the "tree's of" is to our life as overeaters, invited to partake or abstain. The first natural tree brought death. The last supernatural tree brings life. Our body says we have overeaten of the tree that brings death. Our body says we have not been feasting on our daily Bread, Jesus. Our body says we have not been feasting on our daily Life, Jesus. We would have that healing of obesity and related illness in our physical body if we were eating of the tree of life and not the other.
We are God's temple. Should we bring the unclean into His dwelling place? Should we defile His tabernacle with the unholy? All foods are lawful but not all or beneficial, yes? Let's begin supping with the Lord as He intended. He is clearly lighting the path for us. Must we be like the horse or mule that needs to be held in with bit and bridle? I clearly think that God is taming us in this realm before sending us forward for spiritual works of the Kingdom. That is, after all, what He truly desires of us. Even so, come Lord Jesus!
