Journey:

Today's word is a reminder to enjoy the whole of your life more.
Often we tend to fixate on all the things/situations we feel the need
to attain to make us happy, or bring us peace. When we focus on these
things as the ultimate destination we lose sight of the wonderful
journey we are on. Every day of your life is an adventure, filled
with opportunities to make choices, take chances, and create changes.

Today take a look at your travel plan. Have you fixed your itinerary
for joy around future plans, or do you allow yourself to enjoy the
scenery off the beaten path at any given moment? Today, be thankful
for all that you already have within you. All the tools you need
have been provided. It is now up to you to use them wisely and enjoy
your travels here on Earth. We are only here for a short while, and
one never knows when it will be their time to clear the departure
gate. Do your best to enjoy your journey today so that you leave no
room for regrets tomorrow.

Today's Exercise:

Enjoy the scenery. Do something different. Reflect on your life
journey in your journaling taking note of what you did this day that
allowed you to enjoy the here and now. Revise your "itinerary" as
needed.

I do like having a journal and enjoy writing in it and coming back sometime later to read. I actually have several journal-notebooks, even one's I made my self. I also enjoy words and enjoy researching ones I am not familiar. Some do their journaling on the computer, and find it is easier. I think writing is a great way to see what you are inside. I have found many times I'll just start writing and God will share wonderful insights and lessons with me. I know we all have busy lives but maybe just now and then when you can take some time and "journal". Use the words shared as a starting point to get your mind wandering. I find the wandering is actually when I open up the best and learn more.

All the tools you need have been provided.

Just taking this concept, do you feel God has provided you all the tools you need? Has He given you the power, authority and ability to achieve what He has planned for you? Depending on what you think on these two questions might give you insight to what is holding you back from succeeding. Look up some of the words, power, authority, ability in depth. Do a little journaling and get to know you better. And then ask God to give you insight and understanding so you do know where you stand in relationship to God and just even those three words.

I journaled with pen and paper up until the advent of a reliable computer in my house. God speaks volumes when we put pen and paper and Bible before Him. Thanks for the tip!

I have to confess my journal covers all kinds if things. I remember one night DH and I had had a disagreement. I started writing why I was mad, what I felt he did wrong etc. By the time i finished God had showed my errors of the way. I still have that writing and it amazes me when I go back and see how God gently and lovingly showed me the errors of my ways. It was a humbling experience. For me writing is the best as it "flows".
