Title: wanting to loose
nm65 - March 9, 2007 07:17 AM (GMT)
My weight is 320
My goal is probably 175
I'd like to stop eating fast food,McDonalds is what I go for mostly and Ive still go even after watching Super Size Me.Sometimes at 2:00 I go for a meal even after eating lunch at home.I also have Mental health so I go for socailzation of people. But I want to break this.
I have problems with Peanut butter sandwiches to many in a day ,maybe I can break myself down to one a week
These are just some things I need help with alot and goals I need to set.
I started Curves today 1/2 hour 3 days a week.

Hi Nancy,
No easy task lies ahead, yet with your determination and God's grace, all things are possible. I give you credit for identifying your issues to our group, and look forward to supporting you on your journey any way that I can. :rain:

hi Nancy, as mike said it is great you have identified some of your problem areas like with McDonalds; take one step at a time and see if you can reduce either your visits or how much you eat there for a start .................. going to Curves is really good; and checking in here helps a lot as well. I know you can do this; not that it will be easy but that God will help you along the journey and I know you will continue to be supported here as well. Can you make some goals out of what you've been thinking about so far?

Maybe one goal would be to loose 20 lb by summer then go from there.Thats 3 months away.It might come off sooner if I succed at these other things.

Maybe this sounds strange but when I go to McDonalds I order a happy meal. It gives me the same taste just less and I happen to love hamburgers. If that's not enough maybe you could get a side salad. Little chanes seem to work better than the all or nothing attitude. Oh, and I love iced tea with the hamburger.

Nancy, I am so glad to see you here. Thank you for sharing your specific challenges with us.
"Father, I thank you that Nancy has decided to become a member of our Centurion Army. You know the desires of her heart and her needs for health. Lord, give Nancy strength to make wise choices and practice moderation. Show her what foods to avoid or limit, and what foods are good for her body. Bless Nancy, Lord, and our fellowship with her. In Jesus name, amen."
This will not be an easy road, Nancy, but all things are possible with God and He will give you the strength to be victorious in this battle. It is a lifestyle change that will take time and much effort, but you can do it with the Lord's help.

The Oonly fast food thing I ate this month was Subway Veggie Delight and I had that 2 different times a six inch on wheat.and water and sun chips with them both times.
Thats good for me considering how Ive always eaten before.
