Title: Being recognized by search engines.
Description: How to do it.

Can you (snabela) change the edit the html of this forum?

If so, you should add meta tags. When a search engine searches the web it looks for meta tags that corrispond to the description searched.

for example:

lets say, you searched "game maker" on google, google would see the following tag on your page (if you had it of course)

<meta name= "description" content = "game maker, gm , games">

Your website would be under search results because your search matched the cotent of your site.

This would probably attract more people to this forum.

If you mean that you can write HTML in a post you already can. Else I don't understand what you mean. Sorry.

actually i just found out that u can change the src code! in the admin CP, under the skins option, u can add a header or footer in the skin, in html. that how they get on the bottom, "design by gamehampe". snabela could put the meta tags in there...

Google has a special form in which you can list your site and tell something about it, your site will then be added to the google bot and may appear sooner in a search. I think. B)
