i think we should first do a campaign for more active members. then make a brother board dedicated to FF roleplaying
Alright a campain for more active members good idea, but lets hear some actual ideas. In other words how do you plan to get members here and keep them active/interested in the site. Ideas?
We've also had an RP section here before, hell we've even had mutlitple links to external RP boards before and to be quite honest there's not very many members here interested in Role Playing and likewise when we share links with another RP forums they are usually too occupied with thier RPing to care to post on our forum. Not a bad idea it just usually doesn't work out in the end.
well as for active members we can promote on other boards, online games stuff like that.
Please for the love of the Final Fantasy series do NOT advertise this board on other forums.
I mean if you are a member somewhere and you want to put a link in your sig or something then by all means do so, but do NOT violate that forum's rules simply to advertise our board nor should you join a forum just to spam it up with ads for us. We've had plenty of people get pissed about that in the past and in turn spam our board because handling anything maturely over the internet is just unheard of these days. It annoys the piss out of me when people come to our board just to advertise thiers and I know it would annoy them if I did the same, besides 95% of people will ignore the advertisement anyway and keep posting on thier forum. The other 5% will come to board to just to return spam it.
I'm not saying that I don't admire some our new members who are as enthsuiastic as the rest of us about getting this forum as active as it used to be, but I am saying should you choose to advertise this board on another do so with courtesy and don't violate thier rules, because it makes the entire forum look like a bunch of a cockasses when you do.
I had more to say about games and other ideas to get people in the door and keep them here, but my time is up I gotta go to work.
