I finally finished my Bleach fanart... I actually have a lot of idea's for more Bleach fanart too. Hopefully I'll get around to doing it sometime.

Anyway this is Nnoitra Jiruga the 5th Espada. I actually think he's a bit of an idiot but I can't help but love his character design. He looks as evil as he is and the pointy shoes are awesome. As soon as I saw him in episode 159 I had the urge to draw him as a Chibi, not something I ever really do!

This was actually quite hard to find reference for, there aren't many decent images of him on the net seeing as his name is spelt in a number of different ways. I tried to get his outfit as accurate as I could.

Oh and while I'm at it please could I have some help from the Bleach fans?? I want to do a piece of Bleach cosplaying as FFVII characters... So far I have this list set out... If you think a character doesn't fit or there's another one that would suit better reply and let me know...

Renji is perfect for Reno, that was my first choice as well, the red hair and even the personality is rather similar.

I'm not huge on Bleach as you know and I don't know many of characters, but I did a bit of a google search to look at each character. Wish I could find a fan site that had images of all the characters and thier names next to it or near by. Wikifreakin'pedia isn't even that advanced sadly.

For Vincent I was thinking Byakuya is rather fitting while Ishida is more like Vincent's younger Turk self.

For Sephiroth all I've got for ideas is possibly that guy Hitsugya was fighting in episode 48. Jin I think it is (cheers FFVIICloudS). The squinting kind of shows a cocky I can take anyone on Sephiroth like attitude and his Katana can even extend hella far, beating even Masuamune's length. He's got silvery hair, though its not as long and more like Dante's length, but hey thats what wigs and hair extensions are for. A staple of cosplay :reno:

Other than that Jūshirō Ukitake (once again cheers on the name FFCloudS) has the long silverish Sephiroth hair so maybe him.

I agree with Aizen, I don't think he has to look like him but he is very similar and I would think he would make a great sephiroth.

Editz Yo: Oh and for Vincent, definatly Bayakuya he suits him way better then Ishida does.

Looking at some pictures of Aizen he could totally pull off Seifer from FFVIII with the whole snazzy slicked back except for this tufft that hangs down the front doo.

well, i think Aizen would make a good Sephiroth even if he doesnt look the part, they both have the weird way of thinking and are crazy enough...
but then theres also Jin like TMC mentioned, he has that "something" about him that freaks you out, does to me anyways XD...
and its cool how his swords ability is to extend it... resembles Sephiroth's >.>

I was actually swinging towards Aizen for Sephiroth, his personality does match. I think a lot more than Gin's... I'm sure I can get Aizen to look like Sephi though.... I can imagine it now! hehe!

Bayakuya definitely fits Vincent more, I put Ishida in there because I felt being one of the main characters that he should be in it, but maybe I can do him as a young Vincent that would work quite well... Maybe even Tseng...

Now I have all the characters sorted I just have to make time to draw the damn piece... If I was on another table (I'm standing at the table right infront of the door right now) I would start doing it now.

Oh and thanks for the comment on Nnoitra FFVIICloudS tis greatly appreciated! It's kinda funny how every got excited about the fanart idea rather than the piece I posted! lolz... Anyway I have another piece to post now...

^Its more the fact that I already saw it on DA and still don't really know what to say about it. It's drawn really well as usual for you and that is a huge freaking sword. FFVIICloudS tells me actually is that big. It also looks sort of like a giant 30 made into a weapon.

If you run into any problems with the FFVII/Bleach drawing remember cosplay is all about changing your appearance and mimicing another character. I don't know if you are trying to find characters with roughly the same personality to play the FFVII characters or focusing more on characters that look like they could play the role, or both evenly.

Because my submissions for Sephy were mainly based on looks though as I said in my previous post I think Jin has some Sephiroth-like traits about him all you gotta do is give him the costume and tack on some hair extensions.

Hehe thanks TMC. His sword really is that big! It's ridiculous, but if you see his actually character he's tall and lanky so it doesn't look quite so out of proportion as it does in my illustration.

I wasn't really sure what I was going for with the personality/looks thing. Some of them I've chosen because they look a lot like the character and some of them I've chosen because they act like the character. For example Kon is a lion and so is Red so I picked him where as Orihime's character resembles Aeris character quite a bit.

when I read that you wanted to do a piece of Bleach characters cosplaying as FFVII characters, the first thing that popped into my head was an image of the Bleach characters cosplaying as FFVII characters meeting the Bleach characters cosplaying as the FFVII characters...

And my second thought was of Ichigo and Renji fighting because they both want to cosplay as Cloud... or perhaps several of the different villains fighting over being Sephiroth...

Anyways, I know it will turn out wonderful however it is done...
