Title: Fools

QUOTE ( BustaMo @ Apr 1 2008, 01:37 PM (via Personal Message))
Due to your last PM you sent me and your welcome of curse words and derogatory remarks you made to me last night when I jumped on MSN, you are now a part of the FFF community as a regular member again. There is no need for your staffing abilties if you want to call them that, so enjoy posting your 9 page long replies about your boyfriend RA and have a nice day.

~Busta

^Hah good one, funny April fools joke Busta demodding me. Well see you in the staff lounge for coffee tomorrow then.

Vespertine - April 2, 2008 08:49 AM (GMT)
This is silly. I like both of you but at the moment you are both acting like children and NOT thinking about what is best for the forums. Vaskal and Stephii both said they would leave if this continued and I'm sure they aren't the only ones. If you are going to keep this up, then keep it private. I don't want to see these forums crash and burn but by the looks of things we are heading in that direction, especially if you two keep bickering.

The last thing I or anyone else wants is to see anyone else leave especially when we have a lot of valued members who make great posts (which includes you and Busta).

I know it's not really my place to say any of this either but I really would hate to see FFF die. It's had it's ups and downs and people have left (me being one of them) and come back and we've always managed to keep going strong. The way things are going now I can't see that happening.

Oh gawd, it's that time of the month again.

No seriously...Let's get this straight. RA did something stupid, which was deleting everything while we hadn't agreed on anything yet.
The Busta IP-banned him, which was maybe a bit too much, but seeing as what RA had done...could've been appropriate.
So, people started complaining and Busta banned him only temporarily.
Then, TMC started an annoying topic about nothing(it was in the gnome forum, but still) which he shouldn't have, because he was a mod.
Then Busta un-modded him, which is kind of weird since,as far as I recall, it was his first mistake since he became a mod, and Busta just unmodded him without letting us know. Which was childish behaviour in return.

So, now that we've all acted like 6-year olds, let's get back to what it used to be a few days ago(when RA had wiped it all out) and get back to the plan of talking to RA and getting support at the IF boards before doing more drastic things, like what just happened. The end.

TMC - April 2, 2008 07:20 PM (GMT)
Ok so I'm guessing my other account was banned because I ruined Busta's fools joke against me and as pay back my account get banned, for what...another day? ...Damn you april fools.

Lionheart - April 2, 2008 08:27 PM (GMT)
Haha, funny everyone. Now let's get everything back to normal, it's 2nd of april already.

BustaMo - April 2, 2008 09:37 PM (GMT)
There is no getting everything back to normal. RA deleted the posts and they're gone. Everything has to start a new.

I took K_D's advice and went to InvisionFree for this problem and talked with a moderator there, but RA mass deleted some topics, individually deleted some, and it was a mix of deletions so there's no way to get back even 1 of those topics.

Also to the new TMC...I didn't appreciate this PM. Enjoy the Corel Prison.

and why do we need to see all of this? Personally i think that banning the 2 members who actually did their jobs is a silly idea. TMC and RA did all of the work Busta, and banning them is a silly and childish idea.

Again, please keep it between you.

vivi - April 3, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)
Like the others are saying... this is just getting rediculous... I know that RA had made a hasty decission and that something should be done about that... I also know that TMC has been constantly voicing his oppinion that RA shouldn't have been banned... as far as that is concerned, I dont know what should have been done to RA...

However, this fight between you (Busta) and you (TMC) needs to stop... As far as I can tell, TMC hasn't done anything worth having him banned... I've been here at FFF off an on for a long time, and I've finally been sticking around for quite some time, but I'd hate to have to leave because the staff is having problems getting along... If this isn't resolved soon, I will leave (probably for a week), and if I come back and things aren't resolved, I may be gone forever... and it wouldn't be the result of RA deleting all the topics... it would be this fight going on now... so hopefully the two of you can sort things out... quickly...

Hence the reason why I said that via PM to keep the forum from getting more involved then they already our in what is now a personal fued.

I know I'm guilty of revealing PM's, but only because I thought it was a joke.

...And I take credit for the boyfriend comment first huzzah!

Vaskal - April 3, 2008 01:04 PM (GMT)
The way I see it, none of the three active staff members (BustaMo, TheMissingCloud and Reliant A) acted as people with any sort of authority should have. Nor do I see the two left who are able to post here attempting to resolve anything; they'd rather trade insults in front of everyone to show how incapable of leadership they are.

For those of you who are supporting Reliant A because he stood up for his beliefs, consider this. Standing up for your beliefs is fine and well, even admirable. Forcing the consequences of your beliefs on others who don't believe as you do is arrogant and selfish. Standing up for your beliefs is only admirable if you allow others to do the same. Reliant A didn't. If you believe otherwise, that's fine. Just try to keep things in perspective. By that very belief that Reliant A was doing something admirable because he believed it right, BustaMo was also acting admirably by banning him because he believed it to be right, and TMC and Busta are acting admirably by breaking nearly every forum rule (the very rules they're supposed to be upholding) to flame each other because they believe it's right. In other words, by that philosophy, anything anyone does can be considered admirable if you think they believe it to be right. Somehow, that reasoning seems very flawed.

I'm going to follow vivi's example and leave the forums for a week to see if things settle down. This type of childish drama isn't something I want to be part of. Sometimes, the best thing is to know when to walk away.

Once again this forum is faced with a wipe, whether it be a bug or intentionally done. Personally i feel like forum topics should never be deleted, but at this point that really doesnt matter. Whats done is done. Actions that are taken from here on out are whats gonna help or add to whats already been done. As it goes right now the moderation team is acting like a bunch of spoiled brats, in my opinion.

RA was banned TFN - this i understand, he made a big change thats irreversible.

TMC being demodded - this too i can understand, the drama that was being posted thru out the forums isnt necessarily a good thing nor is it an example to set.

TMC being banned - this i cant make fit. I dont see what he did that required banning, that pm wasnt threatening.. voicing an opinion shouldn't be a bannable offense.

All of this being made public to where members can talk about it - totally cant understand that - never should have been brought out into the light and aired for all to know about till it was resolved.

This is gonna turn into another whose going to have the last word cat fight, which if any of you actually cared about the future of this forum, you should remember the results of the last one.

When i have had problems with another member who actually was banned for a little bit because of thier actions, i never once talked about it out in the open until this sentence, its really noones business. Nor should any of this be.

I havent been busy, ive just not been on this forum much. To be honest i feel like this forum is all about competition to prove whose right and whose wrong, and noone really listens to anyone - main reason i havent been active lately. Only reason i came back is because someone who im not sure who contacted me on msn. Then i realized it was just some contest lol.

Perhaps when people are ready to set aside their egos, and accept they are not always going to get their way, then things can return to somewhat normal.

I nominate this for quote of the year because it's just absolutely true.

I'm going to follow Vivi and Vaskal, we(the members) have come up with solutions several times now, but the staff refuses to do those because "what's done is done". Great mentality guys!
Now you can prove us you're capable of being staff, I'll see you guys in a week!
