Title: Symposium Suggestions

Here are a few suggestions I'd like to make for guidelines/rules for the Symposium.

1) Think before you post. If someone posted a topic, they must care enough about the subject that they shouldn't be mocked. Don't read a post and immediately click the "reply" button to post whatever thoughts fly off the top of your head. Take at least a few moments to consider your reply or whether or not you should even reply.

2) If you don't have something constructive to say, don't post.

3) The Symposium is for debates, not arguments. Debates are two people discussing a specific subject using logic and facts to support differing viewpoints, though some emotion will inevitably be involved. The purpose of a debate is to express one's point of view while being open-minded to the facts and opinions of others. Arguments are attempts to stir up anger and belittle others.

4) Don't be offended when somebody has a strong opinion. Some subjects are very important to certain people.

5) All posts must be on topic and contribute to the debate. Contributions include stating opinions backed by facts, stating facts without accompanying opinions and asking questions to get clarification or inspire thought.

Sounds good, I'll edit that topic of RA's I pinned in there into an actual rules/guidlines topic. If anyone else thinks of something that should be in there, send it my way/post it here.
