It releases today...I do not own a PSP yet, so I am yet to purchase it. Is anybody buying it today, and if so, I am giving you a direct order to post here and give us your thoughts on it no less than once for every 30 minutes of gameplay.

idk, I dont think the story will be that long, and I dont think it'll be that great.
Square-enix makes more flashy games than normal...but the stories for me, dont turn out as good.

Which is why I think mistwalkers will be better!

I haven't played the game, but seen a number of gameplay videos and know quite a bit about the game. I've also ruined all the cut scenes via YouTube, Japanese with English subs for the win; which took as long as watching a normal movie mind 1.5-2 hours and that doesnt include download and clicking between video time.

Personally I think the story is quite good, I liked it and its great to see some of the characters we all know and love in thier younger days. Besides I'm a bit of a Zack fan myself. I haven't actaully played the game, but the gameplay, while different looks fun, if you like Kingdom Hearts or the battle mechanics of newer FF's then you should like this one. The game is setup in a maner that is based on what you choose to level up, skills or materia, you can give it more of an action feel or more of an RPG feel as you are only working with one character mind.

And yes as already assumed Genesis is pretty much a Sephiroth wannbie, but more so he is a precourser experiment to Sephiroth, one that took place a little bit before Sephiroth, but more than anything this was a power struggle between Hojo and another scientist Hollander to be the first to come up with the ultimate soldier.

This vague review may not mean much since I don't have any gameplay hours and since I was one of few who actually like DoC as horrible as the gameplay was, not mention Crisis Core takes place in my favorite era of the FFVII universe, all that pre-game stuff setting up the story for FFVII. Based on what I've seen and heard I can easily say Crisis Core is going to be the best of the spin-off game instalments to the Compliation of FFVII, granted it doesn't have much to compete with.

If nothing else this game will give you a good taste of what a FFVII Remake will feel like with larger more open towns and areas.

It's out in America?? *dies* That at least means it's not long until the PAL release...

I'm actually quite interested in Crisis Core esspecially as Dirge of Cerberus never really appealled to me. Maybe it's because Zack was always one of my favourite characters in FFVII despite not having a very big part. I don't really know much about the story line or the game play... All I know is I downloaded the trailer onto my PSP from the Playstation store and it look so shiney.... That's probably all FMV but it won me over.

I would be very interested in hearing what this game is like... I can't wait until it coms over here!

I would really love to play this, but I don't see myself touching a PSP anytime soon. I hate handhelds, so it'll be tough for me to get into it I know.

I do want to know the story and its connection to the main game and the journey of the characters involved. I'm hoping some online site has a breakdown of it in detail once it's been thoroughly examined.
