Yeah, I need some help. It's really weird though.

In my second attempt to finish the game, I am now at the Lhusu Mines. Yeah, at the beginning. But, I'm stuck. Not that I don't know the way...The way just doesn't show up.

In the first area, I think it's called Shaft Entry, you have to walk around a bit and then you bump into a fence/gate/thingie. I couldn't find any way to open the fence, so I went searching on the net. I found the answer: You have to walk up the stairs next to the fence and flip the switch known as the Gate Switchboard.

The only problem is...the Gate Switchboard isn't there! Well, it is there, but when I get close there's no "!!" above my head so I can't do anything. Very annoying.

I've tried leaving the mines and coming back, but it didn't help, no "!!". So, I can't get any further for some stupid reason. Sucks. Maybe someone could help me?

If I remember correctly, you don't open that until later. The first time you visit the mines, you simply go around (head north then further west, then south again). The stuff you access from the switch has to do with hunts later in the game and the mine car that you can ride once you get somewhere and do something I never bothered with. It's been a while, so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to bother with any switches your first time in the mine.
