Since this is a FF forum, and this is the Nintendo part of it, has anyone played Crystal Chronicles? Personally, I never have, but I was curious if it was any good. Reviews of it weren't all that great, but people who write reviews for a living don't always hit home with what the rest of us think.

It's for the GameCube right? nah, I never got into it and I doubt I ever will. The farthest from the main series I got was Tatics and I really couldn't get into it. I have no idea why, but when it comes to FF games, I'm only really addicted to the main series games.

It is boring. The battle system is over-simplified so it keeps the appeal for the younger generation, and there is virtually zero real plot at all until you've been playing 12+ hours. And even then... I'm not sure there is a legit storyline in there.

I guess it was ok.... I played it a little, but it is my little brother's game and he beat the game. I would only play it if I had nothing else to play or do. CC is separate from the sony mainstream Final Fantasy, and don't have the features I like, (no summons, no parties, etc)..The background music is too relaxed (even with bosses), and lack the type of "pump-up" music traditional FFs usually have.

well the game is fun, the only real thing that makes it boring is when youre playing by yourself.... the fun is when youre with 3 other friends pulling an all nighter to get past 9 years (took me and 2 friends about an hour maybe less for each year) then you get all theire ultimate weapons....
the next one should be a lot better since its going to have online play so you dont have to get together and play all close with your GB Advance cables linked to the same GC

CC is a fun game, but it gets boring after a while because every year is pretty much the same(there are 5 story-years, and after that as much non-tory-years as you want).

It's pretty fun playing the game, but like Omega I'd only play it if I had nothing else to do.
