Recently I was going through a walkthrough of FFX-2 and I'm going all peachy until the part where it tells me I have to beat Shinra at sphere break, which I am finding impossible to do.

What makes it even worse is that you can't save just before you play him, you have to save, win a game and then immediately and I always lose so then I have to go beat someone else again.

He's just so damn hard...

Has anyone else beat him?
What was your strategy?
Does anyone have tips on how I can work on my echo's?

It took me a few tries. Part of it is the luck of the draw. I honestly didn't really have a strategy, just kept trying until I got it. It's not much help, but just keep at it and you'll eventually get it :-)

Yeah I think after trying to think up strategies it came down to just luck. Like not getting 1 as your centre coin thing, that just doesn't help at all.

I havn't beaten this game either...mabe cuz I lost intrest...
But I have gotten to taht part, and just quite...so, im basically where youare.

Its easy when you know how to do it, i pretty much always beat him.
I haven't played in a long time, but i just kept using the same amount coins each time, like using 2 coins each time to get the center number, and get the bonus points for using the same amount of coins each time.
But if the center number is 1, then it breaks up the pattern.

Yeah well the 1 coins were the ones I was talking about. The game goes too quick for me to get any good echoes or bonus points or anything.

i gave up on sphere break...when i got the walkthrough it didn't really help me for spherebreak...
