So the release of Halo 3 is coming out in about 10 days or so, are any of you gamers getting it? I purchased an Xbox 360 with Xbox Live back in April and have been loving Halo 1 and Halo 2 since they first came out on the original Xbox system.

I have to say that right ow I'm pretty pumped up to get the game. Me, Aztec, and 2 of our buddies are going to get the game the night it releases at a local Wal-Mart and thank God I have off from work the next day as well as only one class for college which is 7 at night.

Anyone else looking forward to this game or have any comments on how it's gonna turn out?

From what Ive seen, its gunna be better than Halo 2...which is not hard to do since Halo 2 sucked. Yes, I said it, Halo 2 sucked.

Anyway, I work security at a retail store so Ill be working on the night of the midnight release which means I cant buy it. Its fine though, I dun wanna buy it right away. Dont have time atm with college, forums, and wow.

Not only am I buying Halo 3... I am buying the Legendary Edition. And I do not even own an XBox360.... but I hopefully will soon.

Not for me, i think its a bit over hyped... But that might be just because im biased against microsoft :P ah well

He'd like it if they put out a glitchy PC version that required frame-rate patches every other week. :P

Yea, of course I'm buying Halo 3. I'm not spending any money on the Legendary edition. Right now I'm probably more in the whole than Bush Jr. is. Ba-zing! Even though the multiplayer will definitely rox my sox, I'm much more excited about the 4 person co-op. I hope the single player is decent.

Wow, this game looks awesome and plays awesome so far. I've gone through the first 2 Missions out of like 9 in the game on Normal mode at first. I'll do it on Legendary later on.

Multiplayer is a bit weird and crazy to get use to at first, but it's looking awesome. Graphics are definitely WAYYY better. Me, Aztec, and 2 other buddies stood in line at Wal-Mart for about an hour and a half to get the game. They had about 120 copies of the game. My one friend who was standing there in line with us ended up only getting a PS2 memory card...lol

Hung out with my friend who was camping out for it at Gamestop, midnight release...beat it on legendary that same night. Its a lot easier than Halo 2...

Easier or not, the campaign mode is a lot better. Much more enjoyable than Halo 2.

I saw a couple of kids in my town actually begging my dad (he sells video games etc) to have a go, whilst he was playing (as its not out till fri with us brits) They were most unhappy when i started playing Blue Dragon instead :P

The game is great so far as I've played. Honestly I'm more wrapped up about the extra features than I am the actual gameplay itself. For the most part, bigger maps, better graphics, and some new beefy kickass weapons are about all I see the as the major gameplay improvements. Everything else is bonus shit... which I love.

I've honestly played about 3 or 4 multiplayer matches so far. And yet I think I've spent about 4-5 hours in the game. I love customizing my character. It's far more advanced than it was before. I've done quite a bit of tweaking since I got the game. And although 4 player co-op looks bitchin, my favorite feature is definitely the video playback, without a doubt. It's where I've spent most of my time so far. It's great to rewatch the battles, from every angle, and snap photos of the most eventful portions of the battle.

Case in point, the following screenshot is the result of a battle between Busta and me. Hence why it's named "Busta BOOM". Corny, yes, but go fuck yourself. Busta is typically a sniper. He kinda sucks in close quarters combat... but when it comes to distance he's really freaking good. He is good at hiding, tracking characters, and on top of that he's just a damn good shot. On the new Zanzabar, whose name I obviously haven't learned, he was sniping up in a corner on the one side of the map... right in front of a few explosive barrels. We got into a fight. I was down below and he definitely had the upper hand being so much higher and at a distance... but I tossed a lucky grenade, he backed up into the barrels, one of them rolled in front of him, two stayed behind, the grenade landed in between them, he went flying, the third barrel that had rolled in front exploded shooting him high into the air. It was a great moment for our first Halo 3 fight. Here's the photo I took from the video replay.

I tried the Online Co-op with Aztec that first night, but it was so damn laggy and shit that we gave up and I just went into the campaign solo mode am starting Chapter 6 out of 9.

However, I'm having more fun going into match-making and doing multi-player as usual.

When you take a screenshot in the game, you can upload it to Bungie.net via the 360. Then you can go onto your account and download it.

And also, I think the only reason the co-op was so buggy was because my internet has been HORRIBLE the past few days. I just got offline cause it was lagging so bad. Big Joe and some of his friends were all playing so I joined them but my lag was so bad after awhile that I just left.

Halo 3 was like a step down unless you went to legendary. The only thing "hard" on Heroic were the jackal snipers...and that was more annoying than hard. xD

Check out this video. Because of the physics in Halo 3 and the ability to record weird shit... this video is actually showing a guy sniping himself in Last Resort, the new Zanzabar. Apparently he was shooting at a guy, it ricocheted off an edge, hit the wall, and then followed the same trajectory back to him. Crazy shit...

My friend has a similar video where he got a triple kill with one shot like that. I'm thinking issues like that will be addressed in a patch in the near future.

Hmm, I dunno they did toughen up the Hunters quite a bit and minimised their skin exposure.

I got the lengendary edition, seems like a waste of money as I've got nowhere to put it so it hasn't been removed from the box really yet...

Hunters were even easier than in the original Halo. Instead of a pistol shot to the orange circle...you can snipe them in the back. One shot = dead.

Whoa, I'm addicted to this game! I'm up to a level 22 for skill in both Lone Wolf and Team Slayer for ranked games.

I use to be the guy who would sit back and pick you off with the sniper rifle and such, but now i'm getting more kills with Melee attacks and Plasma Gernade sticks...insane. It's way better though when you're teamed up with a few friends and a random idiot though that you jsut met on Live. Great combo for team gaming.
