Sure I've seen commentaries on the FF games before, but not much quite like this before. Gametrailers.com has been releasing a new Retrospective movie clip each week in their 13 part series about the Final Fantasy franchise. The clips are still being released every Sunday I think and I've gone through a few so far. Right now I'm watching the one on Final Fantasy VI.

This is amazing!

I can't believe someone finally got around to making a retrospective for Final Fantasy. I've been waiting for something like this for a while now. It's just what I need to learn a little bit more about the FF's I haven't played, considered playing/am interested in and even those I probably wont ever play.

I can't believe how much stuff I didn't know about the games and the company and series that this thing spills. Sakaguchi's mom died right after the completion of FFVI, which in turn inspired him to affect Aerith's role in the game.

This stuff is amazing, i just finished watching it, What a great journey, Especially final fantasy XI! ive not felt like playing this game so much for a looooong time, just an urge to go to the dunes as a white mage and offer myself for big strong adventurers ;)

wow, those are really cool!!! They really really really make me want to go back and re-play all the FF's again (although Im already currently re-playing VIII) ]

Really interesting stuff, I'm glad I watched them from the beginning, I was tempted to watch VII straight away, but instead I started at 1 and spent a few hours watching them *how sad!!!*

The introduction makes it look very familar.... my connection keeps messing up, so I haven't seen much more than that. But something very similar to this was released on the FFXII special edition. I'll have to go check and see if it is from the same source.

No this is nothing like the special edition that was included in the FFXII game IMO. Seriously. While a few things sound familiar from the LE edition of FFXII game, this retrospective thing GamerTrailers is doing is a must see!

I knew the best way to go through watching them all was to hit up from beginning to end; no jumping straight to my favorite one!
