Which sub boss did you find most challenging?

I found Emerald most challenging, i couldnt fit on underwater materia, and then also he uses Airetam storm! i hate that move (Airetam/Materia) so depending how much materia you have on BAM! argh!

Emerald was a sinch when I became lvl 79

Emerald for me too. I've beaten Rudy and it took me about 3-4 minutes to take him down with the method I used; Go into the battle with only Cloud alive, use Hades +Elemental to freeze him for like 4 turns. Then hit him with KotR and Omnislash every so often and he only swung at me twice and missed both times.

Emerald though I can't beat. I get sooo close and he would just open-ass assault me to death. Ugh.

It was emerald for me too.. but once you ge final attack + pheonix its kind of easy.

My strat, LVL 80 chars.

Get 2x mimes on two chars

Get one char with KOTR equiped with HP gain/MP gain, also give them a Magic Plus (make sure they got at least 8k HP)

Have one character (i chose one with KOTR) equiped w/ Final Attack+ Pheonix

Equip one person that has mime w/ W-Item if you have it.

Another with Full Cure, or Cure 3x all (regen heps sometimes)

l
Start of fight, use 2x hero pots on KOTR.

Use KOTR, mime

When you die... you come back

Notes: Make sure everyone has >8k hp and make sure no one has more than 6 materia slots taken up.

Make sure Final attack is at level 3 w/ Pheonix, and KOTR is at least level 3

If you have them, Megaelixers come in handy as well.

But that was my strat, and it worked for me.... other than that Ruby was pretty much a piece of cake.... I used bustas strat
