Title: Mission Complete!

did you like the Mission based gameplay in FFX-2? For me, i thought it was a step away from the original FF system, but something i wouldnt mind... the rest of the game though dragged that down, As you need to have a good base for any system.
Also what did you think of the FFX-2 Job system? I wasnt a fan personally, i thought They could of implemented the System alot better, and then would of got a much better response for the game.

I didn't care for the mission system either, though I will admit Im not a huge fan of side-quests in most games. I'm really glad most of them were optional though. But I think it was a stab at making the game less linear. It kind of worked, but it also made the main quest that much shorter.
I was totally fine with the dress-sphere system. The only thing I wish would have been implemented is that only one character can use this job or something. More like you equip what dress-spheres you want on each specific character. I think it would have brought more strategy into the game and bring it closer to FFX's battle system in the process.

Though incredibly feminine, the Dress Sphere system was incredibly in-depth, though not compared to the Sphere Grid system in X.

The mission based system was good and weel thought out imho, the only trouble is that there is no decent story to go with it. I gave the game another go the other day, was bored after
*Spoliers*
After I did the recolection events in Luca before the first besaid section
*End Spoilers*
X-2 is what everybody, for some reasn, seems to think XII is, awsome gameplay, poor story.

I didn't mind it at all for this game since it was a sequel, but if they would add this game into a main series game for FF, I'd be pissed. Dirge of Cerberus sorta took this path too, but not as drastic as x-2's was.
It flowed with the theme and plot though: Yuna was on a mission to find Tidus, and they had to do it step-by-step. Not a bad system, and the dress-sphere's were alright, but it's a "one-hit-wonder" I believe.

I enjoyed playing FFX-2. Did any one get a "Charlie's Angels" feeling from the game?
