FFF Test Site

Take a look at it, tell me what you think. I've showed a few people, but haven't really gotten much feedback aside from RA so far. If there's something you don't like about it; tell me. If there's something you find extra cool; tell me.

The forum banner at the top is just an example and would need to be resized and stuff to make it look un-fuzzy, or we could ahve some entrees from you guys to see who would like to make a new banner for the site that matches the skin. Tell me what ya think. :)

I like this skin, it's definately not bad ^^
But somehow...it doesn't really feel like FFF. I dunno why.

The colors are nice, you need to get used to them a bit, but they work okay with eachother. But the orange thingie in the border above the banner doesn't have those lines the other orange thingies have(I so suck at explaining), makes it seems empty.

I like it. Its like a combo of the current skin and the old skin...in a way but not really..... -__-

anyways, yea, you'd definitely need to redo the banner but Im fine with it.

It actually feels kinda like oldschool FFF. With the greyish blue and orange text.

It feels like OldSchool FFF, i like it. I'll give a banner a go if a comp is made up.

About 4 days off and on, for the test site. Trying to match up the specifics with FFF here. I didn't make the skin itself; I just created the test site and set up the skin so it looks like a test board of FFF here.

The current banner size that we have now is good. I don't care who's on it as long as it isn't Cloud or Lulu.

well its pretty obvious that the banner size for the test site is much bigger than the current one here. hence why Im asking for specific dimensions

For the characters on it, what if we try to get a different personality for each character we add on?

Like...Balthier, Zidane, Tifa, and...Hell, maybe a villain like Seymour? Mix it up a bit and include different characters, and NOT CLOUD OR SEPHIROTH FOR ONCE! lol

What about Random Banners? its really easy coding to put in, and then 3 banners, one light one dark, and perhaps another one for the season we are in could be used?

I knocked up a dark banner quickly, it took me about an hour to do. Im not sure which i prefer, The top one or the bottom one. But i think the top i prefer slightly.

Anyway...after seeing Ross basically give up, I did as well. I did not expect, however, to see a strive by the members to revive the board. It was...surprising. If the members are willing to put in the time to bring this place back to life, I am willing to put in the time to keep modding it.

As far as a new skin goes. I would be more than happy to reskin this place, complete with new banners, buttons, pips, smilies, and other goodies. However, I will need to be able to access the Admin CP. Now, let me make this clear...I do NOT want to admin here. I have too much to do on my own board.

woot, Aza is back. That'd be cool man if you could get some good banners, buttons, pips, whatever going. It'd be very much appreciated by the members here.

And SG, i like the font and the color scheme, but I dont think the renders were put to use very well. IMO, the black splotch over Sephiroth's face looks very sloppy. Thats my main complaint about it though, but good job on the rest of the sig.

Wow, after our talk the other night on AIM, AZA, I didn't expect to see that post from you! Cool to see you're back in action man! Awesome work by all, but still, if we want to save a board that we can describe as nearly slipping from our grasp, we need to think fast and come together. It's looking good so far.

My thoughts exactly. I loved the old skin and this is a nice mix between that one and the current one.

So how is progress coming on the new skin/revamped FFF? It seems to be fine and in working order on the test site. It's been around since what nearly February, but yet the forum is still the same and the smileys still do not work! I don't know what else needs to be done to the skin before we make changes to the real board, but I say lets do it and get it done.

More than anything I'm really disapointed that the smiley's have not been reuploaded yet. What exactly is the problem there? I can understand a lack of motivation from the Admin's, but it honestly wouldn't take much to get them back. Hell I'll even go find all the smiley's myself, put them in a file and send them to Ross if I have to.

Also for the banner if we have random banners each time the page loads, I suggest all three of the FFF banners, a new one like at the test site, the current one and the old one with Paine (I think I still have it on my computer somewhere if you need it).

As for a new Admin, I don't really give a damn who get's promoted BM or AzA, but I think someone needs to be promoted simply so something can get done, no offense to Ross and RD (RD's an Admin now isn't he?). The members seem to be doing thier part posting and sticking around; we could always get back to some quality topics and shy away from the recent burst of spam, but we kind of need the assitance of an active admin and AzA and BM have been fairly active recently. RA could also be a mod again if we need one; I think the main reason he quit is because he had conflicts with K_D who probably isn't ever coming back anyway.

Basically I just want to see some action, if you want this place to be active again then the planned changes need to become a reality, not blown off like many of our cool projects/ideas in the past.

Yup, I totally agree with you. If we want to get something done, we need a new Admin or one of the old ones to help us.

I talked to Busta awhile ago. Apparently Ross doesnt want another Admin. I do not know why, seeing how he isnt do anything. No offense to him, but it sounds like Ross doesnt want FFF to come back. Without access to the Admin CP, Busta and I cannot do anything else.

Well thats annoying, Can he not just give one person no admin powers but Admin CP. That way your not really an admin, just a part of the Ressurection comittee or something.

Its annoying if we cant bring this back after everyones contributions.

Sorry guys I've been very busy with exams. I'm now done with school for the year, and it being summer vacation, I'll have some more time on my hands. I'm looking into the whole new skin thing, and hopefully we'll have something set up soon.
