Several years ago (about 2) I first heard about Crisis Core but I guess there where only minor rumours. Then gradually I learnt more about it like you play as Zack instead of Cloud in it, you get a chance to hear more of the story about the newest character's Angeal and Genesis (G from Dirge of Cerberus), Angeal was the keeper of the Buster Sword after Genesis (the original owner). And we also learn about Shinra nad Sephiroth etc. Then Square-Enix did actually at one point decide 2006 that they would release Crisis Core, but we still no nothing! No release dates, no story, no nothing! Only a few things about what character's will be in the game!

Hmmm...well I guess that it's going to be released later on this year after the summer from what I've heard. This is the PSP game right? I'm assuming so since BS is the mobile phone game. I am very interested in seeing what info we can learn about Zack that we didn't find out in FFVII and Advent Children. Seems like it will be the last of the Compilation to be released. I haven't heard a word about Before Crisis at all lately.

I'd actually forgotten about this game 'til I came across a trailer just before Christmas. It actually looked somewhat more interesting than I'd expected, with combat looking as though it was more action orientated a la Kingdom Hearts. You can pop over to Gametrailers and have a look for yourselves.

On a side note, the trailer was released in December, so it's not been fogotten about by S-E.

hmmm. i havent really seen anything on this. it's kind of just another "not as good" spin on FF7. i havent even played DoC yet.

But if you want to learn some things about Zack, there is always that Last Order anime

ARE YOU F*CKIN SEREOUSE!!! there actually making a crises core game??? If they do it better have the ATB system like 7.

I actually think that SE would make it like an RPG if they actually did release this game. Reason being that Dirgeo of Cerberus (although I liked it), people didn't think it was done too well. And, about G, what was his role in DoC? The only thing that comes to mind when I think of G is G from House of the Dead, heh.

I'm not sure about the battle system. I think it might be an Action RPG like Kingdom Hearts but we'll just have to wait and see. And hey, as usual good ol' YouTube has conjured up some eye-candy movie about Crisis core, here is the link:
