Since starting the game back last May, and taking a break while I completed Dirge of Cerberus and FFXII, I have finally beaten Final Fantasy VI as about 20 minutes ago I beat the crap out of the last 4 boss battles in a row! Kekfa is currently about to disappear, and I paused it right before the ending sequences so I could share my jubilation and joys and pumped-upness with you all.

If you haven't beaten this game yet, go do it. Also, who else has beaten it? Go buy it now if you haven't. Immediately.

I've tried like 4 times now... still at the beginning of the World of Ruin. I keep playing for a while, and then the game disappears again. I'm working on FFV currently, trying out the new Jobs.
I'm planning on giving FFVI a chance again when I've finished FFV.
